I'll get (maybe) a tattoo if I make it to my 69th birthday.

I started getting them when I was 60. I've been fascinated by them since I was a small boy. When I was about 60, I started thinking about it, and I realized that if I wanted a tattoo, that there was no reason not to get one. I also knew f I got one, I would get more. I love every one of my tats. Initially, I thought I might like to be covered with them, but I'm not interested in that anymore. I'm contemplating starting a new one in late October.

Self expression, personal meaning, remembrance of someone gone.....

Within the milieu I grew up in, tattoos mark clan and kin relations. A persons tattoos tells me who they are without us ever speaking.

The same applies, in some respects, for escorts. They choose to identify themselves by their tattoo choices. Their choice of markings provides some insights about them as a person.

I prefer an escort without tattoos at all. The last thing I want to see while I'm fucking a guy or getting fucked by him is a snake or skull or a woman. To me most tattoos are really like a mutilation. Generally I can deal with a single tattoo that is not over the top. Brett Holt has a small mickey mouse on his ass. Dylan Knight has a small shamrock. Those are not too much but the tattoos that are a full arm sleeve or full "wings" on the guy's back or phrases across the neck or down the arms - not for me.

I would never hire a number of escorts I have seen advertise due to the tattoos. The guy could have a stunning body, 10 inch thick cock, be totally versatile, have body hair in all the right places but if he has a dragon that is on his back and wraps around his torso - I ain't hiring.

As I look at escort ads, I notice now that most escorts under 30 years old have tattoos. And not just a single tat, but several all over - arms, legs, calves and chests. This trend has been around for several years and seems to be getting more common.

Does anyone here think that the tattoos make a guy look better? I don't. My opinion is that they cover and distract from a beautiful body - especially if they are large - like ones that cover an entire pectoral muscle - or an entire arm sleeve. But I'm betting that I'm in the minority.

As the tattoo trend seems to grow, it makes me think of the saying: "Nothing expresses your individuality like doing exactly what everyone else is doing."

I would say escorts under 50 usually have some tattoos . I prefer them without . This trend is the same all over the world except in some Asian countries . I tell them all the time that too many tattoos don't help their business ...

Mostly I'm indifferent to tattoos. I will take note of the exceptionally well done and artful tattoo. But most tattoos are poorly designed and not well executed.

I read a while ago that about 40 percent of people under 35 have one or more tattoos. From personal observation I'd agree with this assertion.

IMO having a tattoo used to mean one had an "edge". Tattoos were the domain of sailors and military guys, truckers and blue collar workers. Being inked was a way of expressing nonconformity to the greater society as a whole.

Today, besides the military and blue collar groups a lot of professionals and students have gotten themselves inked. Rather than the discrete image hidden on various parts of the body, the younger folks will go all out for body, arm, and face tattoos. It's more like "look at me! I'm edgy!" Unfortunately, rather than having an "edge" the tattoo has become so ubiquitous that having one is more conformist than not.

I recall reading about a well known tattoo artist who was lamenting the current state of the tattoos business. He said people today seldom work with the tattooist to choose a design. They will come in with their own artwork and demand it be executed to exact specifications. When he tries to advise or suggest alternatives he gets a lot of negative reactions. This doesn't surprise me in the least as I've witnessed the generational changes occurring these days.

Another interesting point he made was that tattoos preferences change over the decades. The artist says he can tell by design if some served in the first Gulf War, got a tribal tattoo in the 1990s, or a more recent design fad.

When this topic has come up before...I've mentioned that I've had some real fun with younger people with tattoos by asking them to explain the story behind their ink. Like at a bar, beach, etc.

I've had guys and girls strip their tops off to tell me the whole story, show breasts, butt cheeks, etc. a very small handful has led to returning to a private place for more exploration ;) including a MMF in Key West! Some seem to really enjoy sharing the "story" behind their ink.
