I'm curious if anyone knows what has happened to any of the following porn sites that were all up and running online in the past ten years:

1) The Active Duty site featuring military men was run for years by Dink Flamingo. It's still going, but Dink's once-formidable presence is definitely gone. Does anyone know what became of Dink?

2) The same can be said of Sean Cody. At one time, the owner of the site (an average brown-haired guy we assumed was "Sean Cody") would actually film himself servicing and massaging the models. He is now gone - so I always assumed he sold the site off even though it still operates today. Does anyone know the story of what happened?

3) Straight College Men (SCM) also had a very interactive owner who filmed himself servicing the models. But a few years back, the site suddenly stopped providing new content and then there was a new spin/off site called Bait & Tackle. SCM introduced the world to Dean Coxx and the duo (Tucker & Max) who went on to start their own site: Austin and Zane. Apparently those two had a falling out and they stopped providing new content as well?

These sites were run in Las Vegas. And just recently, there is a new Vegas-based site called Stud Pups that features some young (20ish) models and even local Vegas escorts. The site seems to be run by the SCM company.

Does anyone know anything about these sites? I read online rumors about lawsuits and bankruptcy - but they were rumors.

4) Also - I read Jake Cruise got very sick or had some disability and he stopped what he was doing - and his site does not provide recently-filmed content anymore. Anyone know if that's true?

only a little bit of news.....

2. I remember that average "Sean Cody" guy giving head and stuff in the early days....then he never seemed to be on camera....then it sounded like am entirely different person......I did hear the site was "sold" (whatever that means in internet stuff) a couple years ago......

3. I also remember that old SCM site and it was pretty good, except for that "host/director" who talked way too much and was a little whiny-sounding......I remember Dean Coxx being very active there years ago.....I will look up StudPups - never heard of it.....

sorry, little help......I presume these mergers and disappearances are common....in my neck of the woods (Phoenix/Scottsdale), the Fratmen site had some kind of falling out and various "principals" in the group went on to start things like "hotguysfuck" and other sites......

I'll take a crack at it.

Both 1 and 2 decided to pack it in and sell their companies (Dink to Next Door and Sean to the Men.com conglomerate). I haven't seen a reason as to why. Maybe they got bored, who knows. Dink and Sean faded into the sunset... never to be heard from again. :)

If I remember correctly, the owner of SCM just quit because the studio wasn't profitable anymore. I think he had a goodbye post/letter on his site explaining why he was closing up shop. Whatever it was, I seem to remember he was pissed off about something that help lead to him shuttering his site.

Jake Cruise did seem to appear to fall ill some years back. I remember seeing pics of him in a wheelchair not long after his sites started show Eastern European porn all day, every day. SG4GE was shuttered, but has since reopened. Cocksuremen never shut down. Jake relaunched his JakeCruise site almost 2 years ago with newer content. It's a mix of newer scenes, European porn, and remastered old scenes. (The most current scene was released 07/28/2017 with Dane Stewart.) I posted about it some time ago because someone asked about Guy Holiday out of San Diego. Guy didn't show his face in his ad, but did in a scene on JC's site.

I speculate that both Sean Cody and Dink Flamingo took opportunities to cash out due to the changes happening in the porn market place. The proliferation of "free" and pirating of content has made the business less profitable.

Ah! Perfect company for Berkshire Hathaway. It's certainly a field where they have no exposure [pun intended].

well with so much porn from pay sites ending up on free sites I do wonder how any of those sites can be profitable

Funny you should mention that issue. Many of these sites have the same ownership. See @Kurtis Wolfe post above regarding MindGeek.

There's a ton of crossover promotions between the sites. Usually short clips but also full scenes. For example, Pornhub offers a lot of Sean Cody and Bromo clips. There was a significant increase in Sean Cody related content when MindGeek acquired the site.

Perhaps Sean Cody just got tired of filing take down requests for pirated content and decided selling out was easier. I also still believe he had good market timing and decided to unload the business for a goodly amount of cash.

I do remember Dink started out in Fayetteville NC, Home of Ft Bragg Army base and Pope Air Force Base , He would cruise around the Streets and Malls in his Convertible, Picking up Army guys or any Nice looking guy. Befriend them, and get them to make the movies. There was some kind of trouble with the Army and Dink. He packed up and moved to California, and got expanded.
