I remember when it first became regularly available and going to an orgy. It was obvious many of the guys were using it. While he's right about poppers, it's for the wrong reason. They are both vasodilators. Taking poppers with one of the ED drugs can lower your blood pressure to the point you have a stroke due to lack of blood flow.

 

Other types of blood pressure medications can also be problematic. If you are on blood pressure medication, talk with your doctor before using an ED drug. Also some medications can decrease the metabolism of of ED drugs which can cause the same type of effects. One known interaction is with the HIV medication efavirenz a component of the drug Atripla.

Yes you could do that. For more than a year, I got another script filled in Canada because my health insurance wouldn't cover it and I could get it in Canada for a third of the US price. The place I used was ADV-Care: www.advpharmacy.com. It was really easy, as easy as getting a script the neighborhood Walgreens.

The site mentioned above has 15 different brands of generic sildenafil citrate. Some are different dosages and I get that but many are all the same 100mg.

 

They aren't all the same and that is a problem with buying offshore. I just used up a bunch of a brand called Sildena that wasn't very good. The therapeutic effect wasn't that great and I thought the sides were more pronounced. OTOH, I have another brand called Nizagara that completely kicks butt. India's largest pharmaceutical manufucturer is CIPLA. If you confine yourself to products from this company, there is a better possibility that you will receive a product manufactured according to FDA GMP standards.

It gets even more confusing when you click on one of the actual order forms and discover the myriad of prices/sizes/etc.

Don't compare the offshore prices to each other. Compare the offshore price to the US price. You're right that 1.21, compared to .69 is a big difference, but 1.21 or .69, compared to $25.00, is pennies.

I usually get hard and stay that way. However I sometimes feel under-confident before meeting with someone so I take 50 mg just to be sure things are going to work out all right. I do get flushed, or at least I feel so. The only thing I regret is that I then can't do any poppers if I want to but do to other circumstances I am not always sure that I want to do poppers anyway.

This is a long thread. I can't remember if I mentioned it before. But apparently there are enzymes in your intestine that break down some medications before they are absorbed into the bloodstream where most are broken down by the liver or kidneys. I was on some medication that blocked the intestinal enzymes that broke down Viagra. I can't remember if I took my normal dose of Viagra or a reduced dose. But they weren't kidding. My head was spinning which I'm sure was from my blood pressure being lowered by the excess Viagra absorbed.

 

So what is the moral-be sure and check that any medications you are on-besides the well- known contraindication of nitrates-are ok with Viagra.

PS Aside from my head spinning I remember the experience because I was in Kansas City around 2011, and I had a very nice experience with an escort whom I haven't seen advertise since shortly after that time. Absolutely take it on your own first. Some people can get a headache and significant nasal congestion with Viagra. Unpleasant effects that can kill an expensive escort session. You also want to know if and how well it works.

Additionally, health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension and smoking can have an impact on its effectiveness. Avoid poppers and other nitrates while on viagra and other ED drugs to prevent potentially serious health situations~

Alcohol deminishes the effects of ED drugs~ Keep alcohol to a minimum~

I take Amlodopine Besylate 10mg for HBP and my Doctor advised that 24 hrs should pass before using Viagra. Then another 24 hrs

should pass before continuing with the HBP med.

Out of date advice. It was never a contraindication. Read the product insert. Don't stop your amlodipine.

It may not be an absolute contraindication, but doesn't the product insert warn there may be problems with any blood pressure lowering medication?

 

 

I know I had a problem once. But I did it to myself. This happened about 5 years ago, so I'm a bit rusty on the details.

 

If I remember right I was probably partially dehydrated because I went without eating or drinking much for a day or two. My normal BP medicine has a diuretic. I took my BP medicine along with some Viagra and Staxyn (a form of vardenafil) because I was having a hook-up. And I didn't want 'Junior' to fail me.

 

So the hook-up went fine. After the hook-up I went to Popeye's for a late lunch. Right as I was leaving Popeye's I felt faint. I could feel myself grow faint. And I broke out in a cold sweat. I got into my car and could tell my pulse was racing. My heart rate was probably about 180. I knew what had happened. The blood pressure lowering effects of Viagra and Staxyn along with my regular blood pressure medication and my relative dehydration dropped my blood pressure too low. I should have called 911 and gone to an ER. Instead I managed to drive to a relative's house. There I drank an enormous glass of water and tried to get my head as below the level of my heart as I could. After about 45 minutes, the water I drank was absorbed and my heart rate went down.
