Hi,

I know this has been asked before but how does one find those hot guys who are willing to escort a few times a month for the extra cash but don't want to advertise?

There are so many hot, young guys here in West Hollywood that live a very lavish lifestyle but work minimum wage jobs. How do they make up the difference?

Thanks in advance!

I lived in WEHO or adjacent, my entire life until 3 years ago. The "lavish lifestyle" that many like to project out there, is mostly a facade...

I come from the days of hot struggling boys who don't advertise trotting down to S.M. Blvd to hang in front of OkieDog to make their rent $$$ but those days are (sadly lol) gone. I DO agree that MUCH today IS a facade, many of these gorgeous boys you talk about spend lavishly on their clothes watches drinks the "image" they love but if you followed them home you might discover "home" is the couch of a bud who complains they never kick in for food. (I'm sure there are "some" who have a cadre of sugar daddies they see regularly allowing them to technically not scort or advertise, but that's the exception I think) My suggestion would be to troll local social media or dating apps subtly dropping the word generous in your prof and see who bites, then cross ref the contact info the escort sites and see if they're REALLY just a starving hot guy who'll do it on the DL or a long advertising professional.

When I first moved to LA I lived in the (then) dredges of WeHo behind that big gay porno theater on SMon Bl did my laundry in a coin-op across the St where the boys late at nite would STRIP to undies to wash their clothes and practically take baths in the sink lol. AND I worked in The Valley NO CAR so I'd take that bus at Highland across from OkieDog into the Valley every nite gawd it was awful I eventually quit and starved . THANKFULLY two elderly (and PLATONICALLY) sweet men who had a store on the Bl that sold celebrity's old furniture and clothes either discarded or from their estates etc called Trash With Class took pity on me kept me fed and clothed. (they were the ones who took me to din at that fancy gay wateringhole for "distinguished" gentlemen Carriage Trade and intro'd me to the Owner Don and helped me get a GOOD job there as a waiter. (I was NOT 21 but I lied since you had to be to serve booze)

Ya know Tonyko, I've got some years on you, so it's not out of the realm of possibilities that you actually waited on me when I went to the Carriage Trade. ;) I was in my late 20's but had befriended some older gentlemen from Pasadena that took me under their wing and we would gallivant all over the west side. I know I bitch about LA sometimes, but god it was, still is, a wonderful place to call home.

All the best...

To keep myself alive in the 1970s while auditioning, I worked in the men's department of a very upscale department store in Beverly Hills. I started chatting one day with a young woman in the adjacent department and was so impressed with her. She was beautifully dressed, very smart, funny, obviously had good taste and was nice to me. Her one fault was that she was a horrendous snob but I tried to overlook that because at the time, she was the only coworker who talked to me. I only worked there for a couple of months but during that time, I attended a store holiday party at which the above mentioned young woman got woefully drunk. I offered to take her home and she reluctantly agreed. She had previously expressed disgust and disdain for my beat up VW and told me nobody would take me seriously because of my car but on this night, she was just too wasted to care what she was riding in. She had often bragged about her prestigious address in Beverly Hills and indeed, she lived on a very fancy and expensive street. When I helped her into her apartment, I discovered that it was a tiny studio without a kitchen, and the only furniture was an air mattress on the floor and a metal clothes rack on which hung the outfits she wore to work. I lowered her onto the air mattress, removed her shoes, and before passing out, she muttered something about the place being a mess because she'd fired the cleaning lady. When I saw her at work the following week, she told me her apartment was unfurnished because she was waiting for things "to be delivered". As our president often tweets: Sad.

We were neighbors. Norton and Sweetzer.

I have a young friend. 24 years old, muscle god, who made a ton of money escorting in NY. He moved to LA and specifically WeHo 2 years ago. Lives at 1600Vine. In spite of a spectacular physique, he was never able to make decent money escorting in LA. The market there is not as strong as one would think ...

1600 Vine would be Hollywood actually. He must be doing something right because the rents start at $2,780 for just a studio. Still a gorgeous Apartments Bldg and a fantastic location.

Does he still escort or has he gotten a good paying job?

As for the market here, there's not much to pick from. Yes, I'm more into the tall, lean, ripped twink (Example http://ftape.com/model/?portfolio=dan-hyman) but I'm equally attracted to a good heart and brain.

I see a lot of hot guys on Instagram hanging out at the rooftop pool at 1600 Vine but I know they don't live there.

Probably because you've got all these roadblocks set up. Can't be that. Must be this, etc, etc...However, there's tons in LA that fit that description and are available. Never seen anyone so picky.

can't help but compare these WEHO stories and recollections to new york.... during the 80s, many of us lived in downright scary places in the now-expensive east village and lower east side, and were totally consumed by seeing and being seen... and currying the kindness of certain gentlemen of means - it was not "really" escorting, that was something we definitely looked down upon - but we were able to at least convince ourselves that we were on the cutting edge of trendy!

I love that town. If it wasn't for the traffic congestion, I would seriously consider moving there. San Francisco has become so busy and congested that one is about like the other.

I've hired (not from RM or RB) a few hotties from WeHo before. They were guys just posting ads to pay for past due rent, I think it could have been a one-time thing. Never saw them post ads anywhere. They only charged me floor prices, when they could have gone with the FMV for an LA escort. Great bargain for me!

Those from West Hollywood call it WEHO. Why is it that those who live in Orange County, which consists of many a several communities, simply say they're from OC instead of being more specific?

I suppose you have to be IN OC before residents get specific about what community they live in.......otherwise, the OC is just a state of mind, a lifestyle if you will, and that's why the moniker is used with outsiders

:D:rolleyes:;)

lol stop!

But it's true...the scene has lots of guys (this even existed in south places like Nashville and Dallas) who play this "role" of being extravagant.

I see it all the time and it's sad. There's nothing wrong with having good self esteem and dressing nice or doing nice things. I like to go to the mall, and buy drinks and VIP too when I have a good consecutive couple weeks. There's nothing wrong with even looking high class even if you don't make much money. People always see how expensive I carry myself...but that's only because I know how and what to spend it my money on to make it feel that way.

But people let that shit go to their heads, and they try to shun people who appear to have less than them...when in reality, that Lexus/Infiniti/BMW they're driving belongs to the finance company and they are living in a $1,200 a month box with 2 or 3 other people and there's no food in the fridge.

And heck. If that's what they want to do..that's their life they can do it. The problem comes when they try to judge and suggest I try to be "normal" like them and be a $30,000 millionaire also.
