The ratio is a correlated with testosterone levels and all that comes with them. For example, traders with higher 4th digit to 2nd digit ratios make more money.

That's what I've read as well, that's it's a result of high testosterone during fetal development. Apparently low levels of testosterone may be responsible for smaller dicks (or micro-phallus), therefore I suppose high levels could be responsible for larger, or at least optimal dick size. On the flip side, high levels of testosterone make one more susceptible to certain diseases and cancers, especially prostate cancer.

While my ring fingers are longer than my index (on the left hand it's obvious, the right is closer to equal in length but the ring finger is still slightly longer), I am neither handsomer than average-in fact probably less-and my tallywacker's length is nothing to write home about. I'm guessing the Standard Deviation in this study to be quite large.

What size is an optimal sized dick?
