Clients, do you ask an escort or masseur for permission before posting a favorable review?

Last night, I had an excellent massage session. As we finished, I told the masseur that I learned about him here, on the forums. He'd never heard of this, nor daddy's reviews. Had no idea. I sat with him snd showed him this site. I told him I would post a favorable review, provided he didn't oppose the idea.

After talking a bit more, and his explaining that he doesn't really want more clients, he said he'd prefer not to be reviewed, or promoted here. It's not that he's so busy with massage, its that he has other work interests, and has limited capacity for massage sessions... only a few per week. He doesnt want more work. I could tell, he was also uncomfortable with the idea of being discussed online.

I would never even consider the desires of a bad escort before posting/sharing warnings. Objectively bad: fake, dishonest, cheat, etc. - I want to warn others. I tend to say nothing, or less, if my disappointment was more subjective.

I feel that if I'm going to benefit from the forum, I should contribute. This was the first time I wanted to post a favorable review and asked first. And now, I'm not sharing the good information. So, I'm curious if others ask before posting favorable reviews.

I haven't asked permission per se, but I have had conversations about any details they would prefer not be disclosed. Since I am a pretty vanilla guy (so far ;)) the only feedback has been a preference to not be too graphic, which I generally don't want to do anyway. In this case, I would likely respect this request.

I do ask them if they are ok with me submitting a review as a formality. The only times I was asked not to review were the few times I hired someone from A4A who was not advertising as a Pro.

A few times I was asked for a review, and I had an uncomfortable conversation about why they were not deserving.

I also ask for permission about what to share when the experience and the profile have contradictions. For instance, I recently share about my last experience with Elii. He advertises as a top, but he bottomed. I am sharing this because he gave me permission, otherwise I would have kept it in our bedroom.

Only one guy has asked me for a review. I accommodated his request- sort of. I did post positive comments on MSS. I did not post a Daddy's Review. And when he asked after subsequent visits, I just smiled, but never took any further action.

He was one of those guys who is great for early visits, great follow-ups, but starts to "believe his own press." Had I posted very favorable reviews early on, and repeatedly, I probably would have felt compelled to post mediocre follow-up reviews. As it turns out.... I just let the situation drift away.

I always ask the escort. It's what I consider proper etiquette in this business if they have earned it. It has always been appreciated. There have been escorts who are concerned with what I would write in particular certain graphic details which they may not want to document. Also some of my favorite escorts have relocated to the west coast and appreciated a review for that reason. It's the least I can do for a great escort. I've reviewed a few escorts who are on this site.

In the past I have always asked an escort if he would like a review. A couple have expressed ignorance of the site and I have explained what it is and what its purpose is. I have never been asked not to post a review.

I DO NOT ask now as this site is no longer posting reviews thus what is the point? IF and when the posting of reviews resumes I may start writing them again.

It depends. I try not to mention this site at all because I've been told in the past that some very ill-mannered clients will try to use it as leverage over a provider. Sometimes if the guy is brand-new, I will (would) mention the site and ask him if he wants additional exposure. Of course, that's pretty much a moot point now that reviews aren't being published. I'm not going to submit something so it can be queued up and perhaps maybe sometime in the future be posted.

I always ask them before I discuss them on the forum.

Hmmmm... So on the sliding scale of "tacky to prudent", where would that request for permission lie if it was asked at the beginning of the session? :)

Bucky if that's you in the profile pic u could ask anytime you wanted in the session..

Bucky asking at the beginning of the session would, in my eyes, be super duper, over the top TACKY almost bordering on attempted blackmail.

The problem is often they know you are a reviewer. Bah, I'd rather say "the problem". If you are an average decent human being and not a sick manipulative bitch your reviewer status will give your provider a healthy extra motivation with no harm. ;)

I do the same.

I had a similar situation with a well-respected escort. We actually had a great time, but I felt that toward the end he started to rush me out the door. Although I was not disappointed with the time we had spent, I was concerned that my feeling rushed toward the end would have clouded my review. I told him so when he asked for the review via email. He then explained that he had not adequately spaced appointments and his next client was running early. I wrote a review of our next playdate, which was anything but rushed. All that said, I don't have a moral opposition to being asked for a review.

I also ask for permission about what to share when the experience and the profile have contradictions. For instance, I recently share about my last experience with Elii. Here's another parallel - I love very ripe armpits and a nice musky scent "down there." Most guys don't. I always ask whether it is OK to mention that in a review, as I know the guy would ordinarily be clean as a whistle.

Neither do I. I am afraid I may have misspoke.

If I am happy with the experience and I feel like he deserves a good review, which is anything 3 starts and up, I will bring the topic when I ask for permission.

If I am not satisfy, I would say nothing, I do not send negative reviews and there is no need to mention it. If the escort gets to the point of asking me for the review, that means I did not offer one because I am not happy. I don't mind about the guy asking for a review at all. Some of the guys I have hired from here or from RM know I am a reviewer, and sometimes they ask for the review at the very beginning of the session. Premature, but I do not mind.

I have told a masseur that I hired him because of what I learned about him in this forum. I told him that the clincher for me was the fact that he was described as kind. He was very touched by it. I think I scored brownie points because of it.

I used to ask but no one ever said "no" so I just assumed it would be desired. Maybe I should resume.

I do try to have a bit of a conversation if there's something bothering me at the end of a session so that if I write a review containing something non-positive it's not a surprise. That was very difficult for me early on but I've grown a pair (sort of) and make sure no one hears something for the first time in a written review.

after good sessions and when I mentioned writing a review, a couple or so recent guys I've met for the first time were utterly fascinated that a website existed that gave reviews of escorts and masseurs!

I've also met a couple guys who were absolutely horrified that this website existed. Not because they had anything to hide. They just didn't like being rated and discussed. That's why I never mention it first unless I really feel they need some exposure.

Speaking of exposure...( Shameless plug for two of my favorites )

Oh, the comment about no moral opposition to being asked to write a review was not directed toward you. You said nothing of the sort. In similar past threads, some members have voiced strong opposition to being asked for a review. That's what I was addressing.

MSS stands for Muscle Service Station. It is a message board similar to this one in which members post about experiences with guys who offer muscle service. It requires a username and password that is granted by the site owner. Sadly, it takes months to get a user ID anymore.
