And then everything else was an upsale... Want to kiss... This much more, want to do this, this much more. Extra rate for everything... This was apparently just for meet and greet!

Up-selling is an unfortunate situation that people run into from time to time. On the other hand, calling somebody a fake and wanting to pull their ad down because of it, at least to me, is a bit extreme.

You mentioned his pictures were deceiving. Why didn't you leave when you were first disappointed before you gave him the money?

There's equal responsibility in all of these transactions. And much of it is upon yourself to make good choices for yourself . Perhaps this was just a learning curve for you. Not that I'm defending him But attempting to Pull an escort's ad for this seems to me to be an unlikely outcome for you.

OK. That's fucked up.

I suggest you to stop giving details in the public forum. Besides reporting the ad to rentmen, you should submit a detailed review to Daddy:https://www.daddysreviews.com/submit

The website is down now but once it is back up your review could be published if properly verified.

Of course, you may continue giving details if anyone PM you, but you should stop sharing in public. Your warning has been heard.

Totally... These assholes do this all the time... I am just naive... I asked him why different pictures ... He told me he is married and no one can find it, and I fell for it. Worse thing I was stupid to give the money in advance..once he got the money... When he started, he demanded more money... Everything was extra... To kiss, to whatever.... Even though we agreed ahead of time on the rate and what I was looking for. So I told him I don't need to pay $250 to jerk myself off... And that I want my money out... Like that was happening! What am I supposed to do, fight him?? In any case in a nutshell that's what happened. I can give you full details if you PM me.

Sorry this happened. Try and consider it a learning experience. I won't chime in with all the things you "might" have done different, I suspect you'll handle things differently next time.

And do try again for a "next time" when you find someone you're interested in

You are 100% right... It's a learning experience... There are a lot of these fakes that pop in big cities... What gets to me is that when you start asking some escorts for more info, they get all offended... Oh well... Look at this experience!

This is not an allegation... This is learned the hard way!!

I’m sorry @MileHigh, but technically, your statements here actually are just allegations. I am sorry when anyone is cheated or taken advantage of, and I’m sure it’s a really awful feeling. But on an anonymous message board, it can be hard to really know the full truth of any given situation.

With respect to reporting a fake profile, there is a way to do it as has already been pointed out. Will RM take down the profile? I wouldn’t hold my breath; still, it has been known to happen. https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/yet-another-fake-ad-on-rentmen.108377/page-4 (post 61). But in general, I would suggest you take a more cautious approach, since you seem to have more than your share of bad experiences. I recall that you were raising similar complaints about someone else a couple of months ago. One of my suggestions to you then, was that you might want to reach out to people who have received a number of positive reviews instead of those with no reviews as all. https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/reviews-on-rentmen-and-rentmasseur.122578/#post-1248185 (post 6). Nothing is fool proof, but it may have avoided the situation here.

I've had mixed results with reporting fakes.

If he's watching this forum, and like others before him, it's more likely than not that he'll change his rentmen profile name to something else. It's like a game of whack-a-mole.

IF, he's following this forum.

I just hope nobody texts him about him being caught... believe me it has happened before...

I know!

I meant @stevenkesslar if my memory is right.

Your memory is perfect. I'm my mother's son, meaning my memory is compromised by dementia. Regardless, here's what I recall.

I went after one escort who was called out by somebody in this forum, and I did get his ad pulled off Rentmen, at least temporarily. Some of his pictures had tattoos, some didn't. When I Google image searched one of the face shots, it was clipped from a cover from a DVD of a straight UK bodybuilder who does these bodybuilding/posing/sorta naked tease videos. I called the escort and he had a New England accent - I can't tell where, like Bernie Sanders or Mark Wahlberg. After our phone conversation he left me a brief, "fuck you" voicemail. I could send the digital voicemail and obviously fake photo as "proof" to Rentmen. I have no idea what they did internally, but his ad disappeared and they emailed me to tell me they booted him.

There was a long thread on the "Traveling pack" of guys who likely had a few fake reviews on other sites (all exceptional) and fake pictures on multiple escort and massage websites, including Rentmen. The best smoking gun is they all traveled to the same cities at the same time, for weeks running (maybe believable), they all signed in to update their profiles within minutes of each other for weeks at a time (less believable) and the text of their ads sounded almost exactly the same. I don't know that I ever spoke directly to any of them. I reported them repeatedly to Rentmen. Rentmen replied to me once saying that they were ID verified and there was nothing they could do.

This all happened in the context of the Rentboy arrests. For me, more than anything, it was a "proof of concept" experiment as to whether or how escort websites would self-police, and whether users of sites like this cared enough to unify and push hard and consistently to get them to self-police more.

I'll add more detail, which perhaps simply proves that I'm a bully. The phone conversation with the scammer I got booted was fun. I called him and told him I was a client and I played him for about 15 minutes. The first skeptical question I raised was the tattoos, and he gave the logical enough explanation that some photos were taken before he got tatts, some after. Things went downhill once I asked him which accent is real, the one in the video or the one I was hearing. His first reaction was, "Huh? What video?" So I told him I hope it didn't freak him out, but I always do a little research and I noticed one of his face pictures matched with this British guy's bodybuilding video. He then ad libbed that he's done hundreds of videos "in character" so I'd have to be more specific about which video and which accent I was referring to. I don't recall where it went from there, but the line I do recall is something like this: "Dude, this is supposed to be fun. You really need to chill out." I politely thanked him for his time, but said I just didn't feel comfortable, and ended the call. Leading to his immediate "fuck you" call back, which I let go to voicemail and then used against him. He wasn't the brightest cookie.

I only point this out because I know there is a fear factor in confronting scammers. When I was stalked (as I just discussed on another thread) it was by a client who lived blocks from me and went to the same gym, so the possibility of a physical confrontation was real. Regardless, I called his bluff. Speaking for myself, I felt no fear toying with a scammer who had no idea who I was and had nothing but my phone number.

It's not clear to me that Rentmen or any other website takes this seriously. But I didn't and don't feel like I had anything to lose, other than my free time, which anyone who reads my endless political puffery knows I obviously have way too much of. ;)

I don't think you're even close to claiming dementia as your problem Steven. :p

Although I posted a link above citing a post to a "send escort on wild goose chase" I don't advocate that kind of "revenge". Best is to inform RM, inform us here, and realize (as you already have) what you need to do differently next time.

Revenge lowers us....this RM advertiser is the diminished (a**hole!) one here...don't seek his level.

I asked him why different pictures ... He told me he is married and no one can find it, and I fell for it. .

Wow. So even after discovering he was using fake pics you still went ahead and forwarded him the money. This guys ability to BS is impressive I have to say.

A guy that looks like that will never be charging just $250.

He said he was married that's why he had to use different pics ... And yes, I admit, I am an idiot who fell for it... Whatever... I believe in karma...

I won't ... I was thinking reporting his activities to the cops, since I know his room number... But then innocent parties might get involved and hurt too... Not worth it.
