I knew several gay photographers back in the 1960s, and believe me, they always got involved.

If you were to look at me now you might not believe it, but back in the 80's I did 4 photo spreads with 3 photographers ... none of them got involved. One of them was deliberately annoying (he later admitted) because he wanted a sullen look on my face!

Back in the 1950s and 60s, the "models" were usually straight, and their payment for posing was frequently a blowjob.
