I usually just nibble their ears off first, then gulp the rest.

Going to my sisters for Easter and they'll have their annual egg hunt. I always think it is funny when the lawn mower finds the eggs they missed in a few weeks. You sure know when the lawn mower finds them. :o

I am in the minority but I do not like mine stale at all. I never understood why peole liked their peeps a little hard (other things hard, yes, but not peeps)

my question is, do you like the bunnies better or the little chickens better (I am a little more partial to bunnies).

and what is your favorite peep color? (I like the blue, purple or pink ones best myself)

I'm so glad you posted this!

This will make a perfect birthday present for a friend. Last time she visited, she arrived with Mexican chocolate and candy molds. We made Chocolate Labradors.

This is exactly the sort of completely frivolous and slightly off-level gift that will completely delight her! (She's a little difficult to shop for because anything *sane* is out of the question. ;-))

Someone told me that if put a Peep in the microwave it swells up really huge and then explodes. Sounds a little messy but I'm dying to try it. Kind of hate to buy a new microwave though. Has anyone done it?

Food Network did a Segment on "Peeps".. First made in Early Fifties..Originally a very Time Consuming Production Line..Like 27 Hours!!!Most Popular still "Yellow Chicks" There is a Museum in CA. with "PEEP SHRINE" 8 Ft Tall! The "PEEP ARTIST" was interviewed...Unbelievable what he can do with a PEEP! LOL :+ :+ :+

Well, apparently the TV coverage caused a run on them.

I found a vendor online, placed the order, and got e-mail this morning that they've received more orders than they can fill and have reordered. LOL

Well, there isn't just *THAT* much material in a Peep, so it can't swell up all that big. Put it under glass or in cellophane or something. The microwaves will get in but the remains of the Peep will be in something that can go in the dishwasher or garbage.

Actually, after thinking about this a bit, I think the Peep would be more likely to just melt. You're just applying heat to a sugar confection.

Just remember, some kid you didn't know but should have poked an eye out trying this.

Marshmallows are half air. Heat the air and the marshmallow swells.

When you follow the microwave recipe for Rice Krispies treats, it warns to use a much larger bowl than you think you'll need when melting the marshmallows.

I've never heard of them exploding, but anything is possible. I'd think a heavy-duty freezer bag would contain it, but I'll leave that as an exercise for the reader. :9
