Hey Guys! Mason here. I am considering the escort business. Are there any words of advice you could give someone who is new to this specific area of adult entertainment? Anything you notice a lot of escorts doing or failing to do that truly turns you off (or turns you on)? Best places to advertise?

in addition to us, you probably know trusty people in real life who can offer advice and cautions....chat them up and see what they say....

 

as @OliverSaks says above, spend a long while going over all the subforums here that can offer comments (avoid the Politics and Theater ones for now!)

 

stay healthy, sharp, aware and don't take it too seriously.....if you do do it, it will get frustrating at times.....keep it all balanced with other things in your life

 

if you're in SoCal towards the end of April, you may consider attending the forum weekend get-together...as a forum member, you're already invited.....check Oliver's post in The Lounge subforum at or near the top

Second advice, as you say you have no experience. You look hot, and that is a huge pro, but it is not the key for success. To do well as an escort you must have the ability to find something attractive in every client, and actually enjoy the meetings. If you fake it you may survive for some time, but not long.

Allow me to add my welcome to the site. Some escorts engage with other posters and show their personalities. To me that is advertising in itself. There will always be detractors. Don't bite.

First advice, add a link to your ad or website to your messages signature.

Latbear is correct, this makes things easier for potential clients, but from what you have said you don't yet have an ad to which to post a link. (Unless you count the post where you invited PMs as an ad.) Good luck if you decide to launch into this as a career, be that full time or as a side-line. It would be nice to know where you are when you're ready to share that little detail.

Welcome to the forum. I am sure your foray into escorting will be very successful.

 

I advise reaching out to some of the escorts who participate on this forum for advice. There's a lot of issues to consider such as planning tours, dealing with flakes, and security to name a few.

 

Participating in this forum can be a blessing and curse for escorts. This place can get testy at times. Overall it's a fine collection of gentleman with fascinating perspectives on a variety of subjects.

 

Looking forward to your participation here and hope to meet you if you ever visit DC.

Couldn't have stated any better....I'm in NYC big town but word spreads fast. Each client wants and desires certain things the more versatile you are the better. And yes you are hot. ..woof!

I would second (or third) the advice to go the "Ask an Escort" section and read as much as you can detailing what life as an escort details. It also gives good advice regarding charges, sessions, and how to deal with clients. You will also get advice from clients about things that might they did not like. Of course, not everything applies to everyone but you can always read and see what is applicable. There are a few fundamentals which seem to apply all around. Plus, remember, you can always ask questions as you go along. MOST people will be honest without being simultaneously ungenerous. As has already been mentioned, if you have the means and just want to have some fun, the Palm Springs get together is a place to talk to other escorts and meet people who may turn out to be clients (though it would be my advice not to approach them that way). At any rate, good luck in your endeavor.

P.S. It seems a few Chicago people have left messages. The sooner you have a profile listing what you think would interest people the most the better things will be for you. ;)
