OMG, this show is always a crowd pleasure, but raising the bar with this new cast takes it to a different stratosphere....

 

Cant wait to watch Derick, Arianna, JENNIFER, Kristin, and Harvey SERVE it to us..... and the new lead looks amazing....

In context, the song is set in the TV studio, during an episode of the Corny Collins program - I assume the set we saw today is not the one that will be used in the actual show (for this number, at least). I mostly enjoyed this when I saw it this morning. Though I couldn't understand a word that Ariana Grande sang. (At first, I also wondered why Amber Von Tussle was singing Penny Pingleton's part, lol, until I realized that that indeed was Penny. Not sure the costuming/hair looked quite right for the role. But that's ok...)
