CoverGirl has just announced its very first male brand ambassador — 17-year-old makeup artist and beauty vlogger James Charles!

 

And he's freaking fabulous!

 

The teen has almost half a million followers on Instagram and has the very notable distinction of being the very first CoverBOY! How amazing is that?!

 

We're thrilled for him, but nothing can compare to the excitement he feels himself. See his cute announcement to his followers (below):

I did ask for thoughts, and thank you for yours epig. We do know your penchant for excessive muscle, but some may say that Huge, overstuffed and steroided BB's with molasses tans are ridiculous and repulsive. So it boils down to our personal aesthetics, and we all find beauty in different things. A fem looking guy like the subject here wouldn't be my first preference, but if he had "hidden charms" , 9 inches or more, I certainly WOULD consider it. There are many components to a person, I have learned not to discount anyone because many a good time has been found when it was least expected.

I don't like that particular nose ring, but on a reasonably buff guy I love the look of a nice thick nose ring. I've never had the balls to get one myself, especially since they need to be kept in all the time (or spacers put in their place).

I think it is wonderful that a mainstream brand like CoverGirl has chosen a male brand ambassador. Hopefully, this will inspire its customers to be more accepting of people who are not just like themselves.
