With the excpetion of things such as the events of 9/11 there is NO such thing as "Reality" TV. 30 + years ago a few networks threw up shows like Couples Fighting where their house was cam'd to catch them fighting in real time and they realized that for the price of chicken feed they got raitings NOT too far from the 800K + a regular 1/2 hr of network TV cost to produce, hence was born Real World etc etc etal. The SAME holds true today 100K an Ep vs 10-20X times that for scripted TV. (except producers realized its better if there IS a script, sans any "writers" credits of course lol)
