I posted something to an escort on a conversation. Now I'm afraid I said too much and it might cause him problems. Does anyone know if/how I can delete this message?

I'd send a PM to deej or Daddy. Other than that, I have no idea.

Like try hitting the "report" button at the bottom of the message and ask deej or Daddy to delete the message because it was a mistake.

Glennn I cannot imagine what kind of language could be considered too specific in this situation, but you might also add a brief note after the post in question, communicating that your conversation with him has gotten you thinking more with your lust than your brain and that you apologize if your previous post was a bit too graphic.

Did it! I've never contacted him before and my dick brain took over. I was just worried that my "candor" could cause him legal troubles. I just said, " I would dearly love to have sex with you". Too much? Okay? He's a great guy and I hope I haven't fucked things up. Thanks for the calming words.

You scamp. Wanting to have carnal knowledge of an escort. I do declare, I think I am about to blush. Someone get me a chair and fan me furiously afore I faint.

I once had the following exchange with an escort:

Me: I want to fuck you so hard that your eyes bulge out.

Him: For $20 extra I can make my artificial eye pop out.

Me: Done.

You sent a message to someone who is a member of this forum via a sort of private communication method. You said you want to have sex with him. I am having a hard time understanding the problem.

You have a dick brain? Legal troubles???? I say to quote the Bard of Avon "Much Ado About Nothing".

Can you edit the PM and leave it blank?

For some reason you can't edit a pm after a very short time... Like about five minutes or so.... For the king of typos that I am it has been the source if some mild embarrassment...

I honestly thought a PM remained editable until it was opened by the recipient. Bad assumption on my part. Like you, I hate my typos. I mostly skip words bc my brain is going so much faster than my frenetic fingers.

Now, @glennnn, I will share a little tip that has served me well: when PMing someone new to me, I always draft my PM, save it (use that little disk icon next to the undo arrow), and sit on it for a few hours. Being Latino, overly horny, sarcastic, and passionate, this drafting ritual has saved me from embarrassment. With that said, I have to tell you that there is something refreshing, charming, and endearing about someone who just types like he feels, and when it is authentic, it can transcend electronic barriers. Be kind to yourself as you experience passion, don't over-edit your feelings, enjoy them. Smooch. -TR

I agree with @rvwnsd here. I understand the concern if you said something you did not want to say, out of impulse, like TR shares. But the concern here seems to be the legal consequences the message could bring to the escort. What legal consequences? Isn't a PM a private communication?

I may be wrong, but I don’t believe the conversation function of this site is the same as a private message.

Maybe so, but I suspect that it is private to the extent that it won't show up in third party internet searches. Whether it is subject to legal discovery is a separate issue.

Those of us who have been here for a long time usually reference messages to other posters as "private messages" as that what they were called under the old system. There was always a concern that they were not totally private as in the "powers the be" could read them, but who knows. I'm not sure what the situation is under this system, but I personally would not and never have lost any sleep over anything that I have written under either system. If anything an escort or two have written things to me that might be considered over the top. Obviously they were not bothered by it.

Given the subject matter that makes its way to the public forum, I stand by my earlier comment: not seeing the problem here.

Wheh! (I think that is the cartoon spelling for a sigh of relief)

From "Much Ado About Nothing" to "All's Well That Ends Well"!

Yes, all of the above. I was worried that my blunt request for sex instead of the euphemistic "spending time" would bring him legal problems, and I panicked. I've been longing for this guy, who is a very experienced escort, for so long, that my passion carried me away. I haven't heard back, and i hope I haven't, as they say, "queered" my chances. I'm still hoping daddy can remove it.

Thank you all. As usual, this forum rocks and so do you.

TANGENT ALERT

Hey, @MiamiLooker, I know you've probably being asked this question a million times, but please forgive me. I just noticed your profile says you have been a member since Dec 31,1969. What's the back story?

If I may add a piece of advice, there's a way to avoid euphemism while getting your point across. You could send a message like this:

"Hi, [name of escort] - My name is @glennnn and your ad caught my eye. I might want to hire you and wanted to tell you a little about myself. [proceed to tell him what you get into]. What are your thoughts?'

Thank you! I think you've told me this before and I usually follow this idea. This time I was trying to lure an East Coast escort to So Cal and, I hope, PS in April for a non exclusive engagement thinking this could be to his benefit and the benefit of all of us who attend. It seemed to require a little more explanation. The chances of me getting to his city are slim, but maybe.......

I should have replied in the Tech forum, but since it was asked here - a common way of representing time on computer systems is to store it as a 32 bit number, interpreted as the number of seconds since midnight, Jan 1 1970 UTC. It will overflow in early march of 2106, but I think not too many of us will be around to be affected by the ambiguity.

For some reason, Looker's account didn't have that field entered when his account was created here; maybe it was true of the original Hoovillians that were entered en masse. (The Forum is fibbing about me in the same way :) )

The time is interpreted in the timezone of the reader, so the readers in the US see it as Dec 31, 1969, but those in Europe and Aus will see it Jan 1, 1970

Next time around I think that @glennnn should write any questionable PM's in Italian. He himself has said that everything sounds better in Italian plus it will be practice when he meets the guy of his dreams when he gets to Italy next year. From what I hear the PM police don't know Italian. So just a thought...

Gee and I thought that there was some sort of inside joke associated with the 69 of 1969... One lives and learns!
