Given the number of really smart folks on this forum, I am seeking recommendation(s) for a Canadian Pharmacy.

So I am soliciting (oops - not that kind) recommendations and feedback on experience.

Thanks!!!

make sure you read up on american laws in regards to getting prescriptions through the mail from a non US pharmacy. it can be draconian.

"Can be" are the operative words. If you try to order scheduled drugs through the mail, they may be seized and you will get a written slap on the wrist from US customs.

FDA's current policy toward prescription drugs from offshore sources is that they are declining to enforce the law, even, though, as others have pointed out, it is illegal.

I had very good luck dealing with ADV Care. http://www.advpharmacy.com/

I was using a prescription drug that my health insurance refused to cover. I googled around to see if I could get it offshore and contacted ADV Care. I just had to have my doc's office fax them a prescription. They managed refills and renewals. They kept my credit card on file and charged whenever they sent a refill. Full retail for the drug in the US is ~$300.00 month. I got a 90-day supply from ADV Care for $325.00 US. My health plan finally started covering it after I paid for it myself for over a year.

It truly depends on whether or not you want this for medications which are just too expensive / not covered here in this country or you want cheap Cialis or Viagra.

I agree with all that Rudynate said above but there are MANY Canadian pharmacies with VERY cheap viagra and cialis and these are good drugs, not crappy generics from a street corner.

A lot of my patients use canadianovernightpharmacy.com, it's simple, no Rx necessary. Just know what you want as far as strength. Ask your doctor what strength you should take.

As far as Cialis is concerned, most insurance companies cover generic 5 mg with a diagnosis of BPH (benign prostatic hypertrophy) and patients stockpile for when they want to take for entertainment (40 mg).

Trusting in the quality of Canadian pharmacies, I placed an order with this company. To my surprise, I was charged roughly 80% more than their listed and agreed price for supposed Levitra. There was no explanation with the order for the price increase.

I could not reach anyone to ask about the higher price. Furthermore, the "Levitra" was not Levitra manufactured by Bayer Pharmaceuticals (the company that holds the patent for Levitra). Rather, the product was supposedly a generic form of Levitra manufactured in India (at least that is what the label said).

After not getting any response from the "pharmacy" about the extra charge or the substituted generic pills from India, I decided to do a Google search to learn the reputation of the Canadian pharmacy.

According to Google results, the "pharmacy" is a scam and it is not a Canadian pharmacy even though the name indicates that it is. In fact, it is not even a pharmacy.

Google shows that the site is a lure to trick customers into believing that they are buying medications from Canada. The so-called "pharmacy" is merely a website site based in the Netherlands that acts as an agency to buy and re-sell generic medications to people who believe the false information that appears on the bogus website. Worse though, the site is Russian run.

Google search gives the "pharmacy" a low rating and confirms that it is not Canadian. The search also confirms that the website is based in the Netherlands.

The fact that a Netherland website calls itself a Canadian pharmacy is enough deceit to keep me from trusting that the generics are safe to use.

You said that a lot of your patients use this pharmacy. I hope you warn your patients about this scam pharmacy.

I have used this pharmacy for years and never had an issue with price or quality.

http://www.canadapharmacyonline.com/

Thanks for the link you provided to a real licensed pharmacy in Canada.

You said "I have used this pharmacy for years and never had an issue with price or quality."

However, you supplied the web address for a different pharmacy than what I discussed.

Here is the link you supplied:http://www.canadapharmacyonline.com/

The link in my post was a different web address:

canadianovernightpharmacy.com

Even though the links look a little similar, they are not the same.

The link provided in post number 4 (above) is the web address for the bogus website that is Russian owned but based in the Netherlands and sells questionable generic medications through an intermediary. Although the website address implies that it is Canadian, the bogus website has nothing to do with Canada.

I hope this clears up any confusion.

Was already clear to me he was NOT referencing your bogus website link, but a similar one that worked for him.

I wish the writing was made even more clear. I was confused myself. The author referred to "this pharmacy" when he might have better said :"this other pharmacy." This would have made his important information more unambiguous and helpful to us readers.
