Having sex with people you choose (personal life) or get to veto (porn) is a lot different from transactional sex where you will quickly get the reputation of having an attitude if you reject potential clients (or charge different rates) on the basis of age, attractiveness, chemistry or race/ethnicity.

Just saying that the expression "stomach it" seems derogatory to me.

I had a conversation with Colby quite a long time ago when he was first starting his film project. I had asked him if he planned to demonstrate diversity in his partners and volunteered to be his partner in Philadelphia. He explained that although he wanted diversity he was not attracted to big older men and it would not be commercially viable. He also explained that this was why he did not esacort because he did not want to be hired by someone he would not find attractive. While I could have found what he said insulting he did it in such a way that it seemed more apologetic than the body-shaming it could have been.

I couldn't stomach it either. It's my unfortunate curse to be one of those I can't stomach. I'm not into having sex with guys my type. No one gets very upset at me saying that since I'm not desired like Colby is.

 

As for Colby, he used to-may still-have a blog called something like Red Shoe Diaries. I contacted him probably 8 years ago to see if he might be interested in escorting. He was very polite in his responses. While he said he was willing to meet if I paid his way, he wasn't interested in escorting.

 

In his case it's not just the one-who-got-away effect. I'm really attracted to him.

funny, I had the same exchange with him about 4 years ago, I'd mentioned some other porn guy who was "worn down" by the constant requests and finally started escorting; I asked if it was possible he'd be worn down similarly. He just laughed in response.
