Has anyone heard from him? He last checked in back in July. If he's out there, I hope he knows that I, and I'm sure lot of other members on here, miss his friendliness and his wit.

He had quite a lot of upcoming flying to do that was related to his business. His sister had a dream that he died in a plane crash. The sister tells their mother about the dream and of course the mother is very upset and doesn't want Gem flying at all.

I'm not sure if I remember this or not. #1. I wouldn't be surprised if I have early Alzheimer's. #2. I was in Dallas for three or four weeks in March --> April due to having an ill relative. My sleeping schedule was even more erratic than usual.

 

But he continued checking in throughout July which was beyond the time of his traveling/sister's dream.

I've wondered about him too. Glad you asked, Gman.

 

My first thought was, He really wanted that Sports Forum.

 

My second thought came after looking at his Profile Page and seeing that he only posted twice in July and that, during June, his posts were mostly to the Friday Funnies thread. Interesting to notice that one of the last serious threads he started (June 6) posed the question, Would you reset your life if you had the chance? Several posters answered, but Gem never revealed what prompted the question, or if he was planning to reset his.

 

I hope we hear from him again.

Well another person who has been concerned and is glad to know it's just the normal bear hibernation thing. Plus, I recall that GB mentioned something a while back about being very busy with work related things... So it's probably a hectic hibernation... In any event, looking forward to GB's return.
