Gentleman Buffdaddy will be hosting a open casting call for dancers and a customer appreciation night this

 

Wednesday August 31st @ Evolve in Manhattan starting @ 9pm. There will be NO COVER CHARGE.

 

We have a lineup of dancers ready to go tomorrow night. It gives us a chance to kick the tires @The new

 

place. Lap dances will be available with all the dancers. I believe that some of your favorite boyzz will be

 

at Evolve tomorrow night, and those who you haven't seen yet. Everyone is invited to come down! Get to

 

meet Buffdaddys management team. Sean will be my door guy , Troy is the Manhattan Capo, and Brody

 

is my Capo on Long Island. They will be helping me in moving forward.

 

When we start officially Wednesday September 14th we will open @ 7pm with a reduced admission until 8:30.

Bozo would appreciate feedback as well....

One of the problems with Evolve when Tim was there was the total lack of privacy in the lap dance area. It was a small room that was totally open. Tim did put up a curtain in the corner of the room for a separate lap dance area (calling it a champagne room) - at $140 for 15 minutes! Also, voyeurs would constantly be poking their heads in the lap dance area, or even worse, traipsing thru, allegedly en route to the back room set up for smoking. Not a very chill environment .

Has that changed under the new management?

 

Despite valiant efforts by both Tim and BuffDaddy, the NYC strip club scene is pathetic. It's been on a downward spiral ever since the close of the Gaiety Theatre.

FairyTale, Stonewall, Uncle Charlies? It's not that Bozo is unappreciative (who said one should be thankful for the little things in life?), but it would be nice if one of the promoters could find a convenient location in NYC that's bigger than a walk-in closet!

 

Luis has the best physical location over at the Monster at the Spunk party on Thursday nights. It's certainly the most spacious, and has a separate, mostly private area for lap dances. However, between the lack of ventilation, the annoying loud-mouth drag queen/emcee, and the deafening, eardrum-piercing music blasting from the speakers, staying down there more than 30 minutes is no longer an option for Bozo.

Oh Bozo! Times may change but Bozo remains! I remember you from the muscle service forums back in the day! I won't say who I was over there he he but I'm a fan of your clowning ways! Yeah I agree that despite valiant efforts NYC just doesn't offer the space for true sleaze, although I've heard that the buff daddy monday nude party is pretty good (have not been myself but may give it a whirl). I was there yesterday and as it was a soft opening there weren't many people and the dancers were few and far between though there were some cute standouts named David (who danced his butt off even though there was not a very big crowd... I mention that because it gives me a good sense that he'd do really well in the lap dance area, alas he left before I could procure him for a twirl) Rocco and a blue eyed white guy who gave me his real name though I forgot his stage name so I'll just not mention it here.

 

Little bit of Gossip, from what I understand the area at Evolve has not changed but the over protective nanny state government model of management has. There were no security guys on top of you in the back and things seemed to have a more 'open' attitude and I heard from an inside source (but cannot verify the validity of this claim other than the lack of overbearing security last night) that the origin of the Nanny state was not the club but Tim as he wanted the minimal amount of interaction so that clients would be more "inclined" to go to the champagne room/ champagne veil.

Completely untrue. The bar employed "their staff" at the door, coat check, bar, and backroom, all 4 of which were a constant area of contention for me during my time there. I pleaded to use my people for years and was shot down every time. I'm grateful for my time at Evolve and am on good terms with the owner and management there, as I am with most everyone. I wish Buffdaddy good luck on his new endeavour. Variety is the spice of life and more options are a positive thing for gay nightlife in NYC as a whole.

Alex did show finally around 1am. We all try our best to get the guys scheduled for work. Its part of this business. When I managed cupids cabaret in Fla back in 2006-2007 we had the same problems.

 

We paid porn stars and Muscle guys to work and some would not show up. Mr Biggs has been at Uncle Charlies the past two weeks. Hopefully he will be back before he leaves.

I went.. I had more than $150 in my pocket after paying $50 but I just wasn't inspired to do anything more than look

Agree with DonaldTramp. That said, I did drop over $150 on Sunday - had some great dances, but was also generally entertained just by watching. I was a bit disappointed that Mr. Biggs was a no show - of course, some of the boys helped me get over it real quick.

Met Mr. Biggs last week on Fri at Fairy Tale. Could not have been more charming. Insanely hot body with the easy wit that we expect from a Brit. We had a bunch of laughs. Good guy. Was actually nervous to go talk to people and schmooze as he said the atmosphere was a bit overwhelming with all the boys being so aggro with customers. I told him, "with a body like yours , you can probably go stab guests in the arm with a pencil and they'll still want to talk to you!" He was quite the charmer! Or maybe I just found the fact that he seemed genuinely nervous endearing.

We have to remember that this is how the guys make a living, they are not there just to hangout with you for free. Also, this makes recruiting hot guys for these nude parties much more difficult for Tim and BD, if the dancers know they are not going to make money at these nude parties.

 

 

on a side note, Mr. Biggs, needs to start showing up to these strip gigs (after confirming), stop this no-show nonsense. He's starting to build a reputation. Stop telling BF and Tim that you will show up, and then not show up. It's really unprofessional.

In fairness I asked Mr Biggs personally last Friday if he was going to do the nude parties while in town and he told me that it wasn't his thing and he wouldn't be so is this a case of a dancer promising things to a promoter so he gets the other bookings or is it a promoter making a claim with a really hot guy that is new and different in order to get butts in the seats for their more expensive shows? but if he's also missing the regular lap dance nights (non nude) then it's probably on the dancer.
