Hi,

I have my eye on an escort but I couldn't host and he couldn't host. Looking for a cheap place for our tryst. How is Crew Club in DC rate as a place for a few hours? A good idea or a bad idea? Any other place that can work for a few hours?

I'd check with the escort in question. I'd say it's doable, but the rooms are small and the facilities to prep and clean up afterwards are minimal. He might not like meeting in that public of a venue. If he can't host, I'd think that he'd have some other options available.

Chris Eisenhower turned me on to an app called Hotel Tonight. Maybe that will be useful. Sometimes they have cheap hotel rooms pop up. Or you can see if you can get a last minute deal through Priceline or something. I'm sure there is some cheap motel to be had if either of you are willing to travel a bit.

I'm with @Kevin Slater on this one: consult and solve for this with your escort. You both have to feel comfy for maximum returns. If memory serves me right, crew club rooms are like $25-30, but frankly, they are not that nice and definitely privacy lacks -IMO. I'm also with @big-n-tall about hotel tonight app. I use it all the time for my trysts and I always get good deals. I usually like to spend a little bit more on a nice room to create a suitable environment for me and my companion. I could see the appeal of a sauna though...I'm not knocking it. I looked on hotel tonight and you can stay at a decent place for $89-115/night in DC. I realize that's 2 or 3 times as much but at least consider it and discuss it with your companion to see what works best for the kind of experience you both like to create. Good luck!

I agree with the above posters. I used Crew Club once and felt it was something of a rip off. The attendant made me buy two rooms (not just one) and two lockers, so when all was said and done I was paying $60-70 to meet there. The private rooms are private, of course, but small. There are public showers, which are, of course, public. There is also a hott sauna with nooks and crannies where you can have fun.

All told, I'd not repeat the experience. When I have visited DC, I have often secured good hotel rooms for $80-130 (big exception=Cherry Blossom, Inauguration, and other Marquee Weeks). I was in DC this week at a very nice hotel (Renaissance) for $85 a night, including tax and charges. Hard to beat--and certainly a lot nicer than the Crew Club.

This has been a problem for me as well. I've never been able to find a place within a reasonable in-town distance for less than $85+tax. That puts a bit of a different spin on 2-hours @ $200 or $250/hr.

I don't know how much budget is an issue for the OP @gregkidman .... but let's considered he's already paying an escort for an incall 200/250 would be my guess and maybe he wants to save a few bucks.

He should try priceline or take the metro to the suburbs and get a hotel in Ballston, near Reagan Airport, Tyson's Corner, etc. plenty of choices when it comes to a 1 hour hookup with an escort.

I don't want to be mean but I've been told NOT to go to Meridian Hill (Malcom X Park) at night because of the hookup scenes going on behind the bushes, maybe the OP wants a $0 short adventure and possibly add a 3rd for free.

There's also a monument there to Joan D'Arc and a memorial to our only allegedly gay president James Buchanan to admire if the escort shows up late.

This video was filmed during a weekend, I'd suggest an encounter at night but during the day in the middle of the week it's lonely and locals don't go.

The problem with Priceline and Hotel Tonight is timing. I have had instances of using priceline - only to be told - the room is not ready yet (1 PM in afternoon). I once stayed in Baltimore 4 star and had to wait till 7PM.

Its always a big hassle to call housekeeping - You would think your reinventing the whee; . Also the facts are a hotel will go the "extra mile" for a member of their rewards program

Thus "third Party" reservations always get least priority - They always point to the fine print about checkin times.

Hint - it always pays to be polite and friendly

I am visiting DC the week after next got a 41/2 star at Union Station for $91. In this case I am staying several days. I willing to keep my fingers crossed for a 3pm check in

I have met a few clients at the Crew Club. Honestly it all depends on what the escort and the client are looking for. Crew Club could be a money saver and alternative to a hotel room. Though as said the "private rooms" are small and not as comfortable as a hotel room and there are other considerations such as the showers not being private, etc...

If a 4 star hotel made me wait until 7 to check in, they'd have endured 4 hours of my wrath and would be paying for my stay.

RE: Crew Club - I, too, have met clients here. I echo the sentiments above about the lack of privacy, small rooms, etc. I also find that it's uncomfortable for me to be moving around the space where I would typically cruise and do whatever I wanted, and to have to kindly rebuff and redirect others because someone is paying for my time and they are my priority. It's not something I enjoy in a hiring situation, unless my sponsor wants to watch me cruise or fuck other people.

Also, I've been there recently and it's a mess. It's dusty and dirty, especially in the shower area (really!?) and because they are "renovating," there are plastic sheets hanging all over the place and things like the steam room aren't working. Last time I was there it was room and showers and that's it. YMCA anyone?

Most hotels have a check-in time of 3P or 4P. Unless you've made advance arrangements for early check-in, you can't count on a room being ready at 1PM. Even when you have requested it, if something happens like the hotel is short-staffed in housekeeping that day, your room still might not be ready when it was promised.
