I feel your pain. I almost never could either. While in my home city(ies) in 12 years of hiring I only ever did about 6 in-calls. And all but two or so of them were guys I had brought in from out of town. Now I did do in-calls to my hotel room when I was traveling quite frequently.

Food for thought for escorts, I was always fine as long as there was a decent bed and non-gross bathroom. I'm sure many clients are the same.

I'd add: Picky landlords want a lot of income documentation. I had one tell me I had too many "cash deposits".

I am probably a control freak but I'd NEVER hire an escort for an in-call. I only do out-calls and NEVER at my personal residence. I always book a room at a local hotel.

I don't have the luxury of hiring an escort for an out call without hiring a hotel, because my living arrangements don't allow for it. This really adds to the cost and depletes my hobby funds. Fortunately, so far most of the guys I've really wanted have been able to offer an in call option, or I was at the PS weekend and had a room to host them in. I hope this isn't a real trend.

Exactly. Hotels this summer are way higher than I've ever seen. I don't see how anyone could have wanted to follow the demo and repub conventions because those hotels were running $300-600 a night.

 

I had to cancel my trip to Boston because It didn't seem like people would have wanted to go outside of town where there were more affordable hotels. These big cities, people expect when you come to just magically have money coming out of your ass to afford to stay downtown.

 

I don't have to be in the Ritz, but I wouldn't mind staying in cheaper hotels more if it weren't for the bugs I've found, shirtless fat men hanging outside, and weird heeby geeby looking stains in some budget hotels. So if I can't afford to stay in a "very good" or "excellent" rated hotel, I'll Probably pass up the oppurtunity to visit.

Sex for me is most comfortable in familiar surroundings, ie: my own home. If there is concern or trepidation about a particular guy coming to your home, perhaps he is not the right guy for you. ? Bad things can happen ANYWHERE !. While I do understand there are a plethora of reasons you might not want a stranger in your home, for me, if I am paying, I want comfort, and for that, "there's no place like home"....

If you are very curious in that nature. With any traveling masseur / escort, you may go on "Google flights" to see how much flights cost from their home city. "Google hotels" also tells you the average cost of hotels in the city. Do take account that some may have used "buddy passes", "free flights", "corporate codes", or may be there already for work. There are local guys who live in city and are not traveling and guys who travel but still can not host and guys who travel and can host.

Right. I often find guys i can stay at their place (who are usually not crazy psychotic fuckers) while I'm visiting, but not able to host incalls. But it often ends up just being a money saving proposition versus a money making one, because few can host these days unless out of town on business.

I was going to start a thread today, but then found this one. I live a hour outside of downtown Seattle and cannot host. I have noticed more and more that Seattle escorts and most particularly traveling escorts do not do incalls anymore.

 

I find this frustrating since my entertainment budget does not cover renting a hotel room for the day.

 

Just this week, two well known and highly reputable (not to mention desirable) visiting escorts told me that they can't host because they will be staying with friends--hotel prices in Seattle being through the roof. For them, it just isn't cost effective. I get it, but it is disappointing. The only affordable rooms are out near the airport where nobody wants to stay--the hotels are fine, but the location sucks.

 

Even the local talent seems not to do incalls very often. Perhaps they live with roommates, the rents being so high here nowadays.

That makes sense, Keenan. But a client might have the same wishes. And considering how high some escort fees are today, I would bet many clients would balk at paying for a hotel room on top of the escort fees.
