It's been a while and I have had some time to think about life in general and this site in particular.

In the spirit of the upcoming American Holiday, I wanted to express thankfulness for all of the men I have met through this site and all of the friends I have made from this site.

I wanted to express thankfulness for Hooboy, Daddy, Deej, Cooper, Trilingual and Barry for all that they do, and for allowing me a place to read about and share information and ideas.

I wanted to express thankfulness to all of the men who share their wisdom and experiences from all parts of the world.

I wanted to express thankfulness for the professionals who visit and offer comments at this site, from Rick Munroe (bless his activist trademarked smart ass), and including Franco, Benjamin, Aaron, Small Town John, Steven, Bobby, and many others who show the other side of the equation of Escort/client.

I wanted to express thankfulness to all of the men who have written reviews allowing the rest of us to perhaps benefit from their experiences.

And finally, I wanted to express thankfulness that I can live in a country where no matter how bad things are, there is always something to be grateful for.

I wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving, and pray that you find that you have much to be thankful for.

My ass can actually be quite the passivist when it wants to be (and it just was tonight; ouch, that thing was too big for me). }(

Thanks for the thanks and thanks back to you. By the way, I've always felt the holiday should be renamed Headgiving, because I'd rather spend the day with a juicy cock in my mouth instead of dry ol' turkey. :9

I am thankful that my penis reacts appropriately at least 40% of the time even without Viagra.

I am thankful that my small sort of life does not require a cel-phone.

I am thankful that I get to travel and see the beauty and marvelousness of this world.

I am thankful for cheap, yet decent Australian table wines. Cheers, Queers!

I am thankful for the little things of this world that can still make me cry from joy and/or wonder.

I am thankful for this website, like Jackhammer. It gives little Miss Trixie some space to play in!

But mostly I am thankful for the Great, Eternal Mystery that is Life. May we all be as light as a leaf on it's turbulent waters.

I would like to thank the USA embassy in a European country for denying the Visa for a person I care deeply for. My friend had in his possession the non refundable airline tickets I bought and hotel reservations for a Christmas holiday, which would have him only making a transit stop in the USA to a dream vacation in Cabo.....MEXICO.

I am so thankful because other than losing $2,000 on the airline ticket, it is saving me a bundle of money on the outrageous Cabo Christmas hotel prices and allows me to not be forced a smile when participating in on the greedy, commercial holiday season.

Plus, I will no longer have to defend the practices of my country. I can simply agree with everything negative said and hopefully my friend and I can find a warm climate where we can celebrate our friendship in in a country that does not consider a 22 year old person with an impeccable backbround, outstanding references as dangerous commododity on the lines of that subervise Martha Stewart or the muslim who is famous for writing the song "Peace Train."

Meantime, we get to wacth Osami Bin Laden, the guy who killed thousand of my countrymen, have prime time exposure on television to spout his hatred.

I am thankful for the FCC and the INS.

For Thanksgiving, I shall have the cook at a Marriot hotel serve red herring.

Ooops, they are calling me now....

Bitter, party of one, your table is waiting. [/]

I am thankful for Jesus W Bush, for another term of incompetency will set the stage for the Restoration of the Clinton presidency in 2008.

I'd like to echo the original poster's thanks.

Thanksgiving used to be symbolized by a cornucopia, overflowing with produce in a sign of abundance. It's a good symbol, because most of do live lives of relative abundance, where all of the basic necessities of life are provided for. We can come to M4M and complain about life, if we want to, but only because we've already been housed and fed and provided clothing and warmth and good health and electricity and access to computers and the Internet, etc., etc. Life is pretty darn good for most of us, especially if we don't waste it being upset at trivial things instead of valuing and giving great thanks for all that we are truly blessed with.

Thanks to all who support this site, by hosting, posting, moderating and fixing the nuts and bolts. I've learned many things here over the years and "met" many interesting people, including some I've met for real. Thanks to all of you for sharing your knowledge, insights, joys, fears, triumphs and everyday experiences. We are all richer for having the ability to interact with other gay men who share some of our own interests.

Thanks to America, my country, my homeland. I was disappointed in the result of the election but not in my country itself. I have great, abiding faith in America and in our system to government and the freedoms it provides all of us. I give thanks for having the great opportunity of having been born here instead of someplace else where life might be much tougher.

And I give thanks for my family and my friends who provide a foundation and context for all that I do in life. A life lived entirely along would be far poorer than one shared with others and I am thankful for the people who make up the fabric of my life.

I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving, wherever you may be.

I second your post Charlie. THANKS HOOBOY, without this site I would have never met some of the nicest posters, some in person and a lot from the message center. Without this Message Center I would have never met a lot of the nicest and sweetest escorts. "On What Fun I Been Having Because Of This Place" :* :* :* :* Kisses to all

When in doubt I whip it out :+

I've always been, and hopefully always will be, a "Holidays" kind of guy. The past few years, especially since 9/11, it's been harder to get into the spirit of things, however. I've come to the conclusion that I'm not gonna let it get me down anymore. The holiday season is, after all, a frame of mind, and I really believe that one's attitude has a lot to do with what frame of mind a person can be in.

I've decided that for the next six weeks, I'm going to put my outrage at the condition of the world (and my society in particular) and concentrate on what I have to be thankful for. I have a great family and some terrific friends. I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford to live in a wonderful area in a beautiful home. I'm also fortunate enough to be able to hire some terrific escorts from time to time. Some of these escorts, one in particular, has actually become a very good friend.

I'm going to try to remember how magical the holidays were when I was a kid; the smells, the sights, the anticipation, the warmth. The Holiday Spirit.

A few years ago, I was in Manhattan showing a friend the holiday sights, which she'd never seen before. On the way to Rockefeller Plaza to see the tree and the skaters, I told her how amazed she was going to be at the sheer size of the tree. I was looking forward to it, too, because it had been years since I'd seen it. We rounded the corner and came up to the tree. It was big and bright, but somehow it didn't seem anywhere near as big as the trees they used to have. After a few minutes, we turned to walk away and a young father rounded the corner with his two little kids. The father said, "There it is!!!" The kid's jaws simply dropped, and one of them said, "It's the biggest thing I've ever seen in my life! It's bigger than you said it'd be!" The three just stood there with the father smiling even harder than the kids. The whole scene kind of put the holidays in perspective for me. It was like getting my first Christmas present of the season.

This year I'm going to try to recapture what the holidays meant to me when I was a kid. I hope it'll be as easily done than said. Of course, after they're gone, reality will have to set back in, but, hopefully, my soul will have been refreshed just a little bit. Happy Holidays!

Hey, HB

sorry to hear about this, but for the future, I would recommend flying British Airways, Canadian Airlines, Lufthansa or Iberia (shock!) from Europe to Mexico, since they either fly direct to Mexico City with connections to other places nationwide, or via Toronto. I'm sure that's no news to you, but in the spirit of other people avoiding getting fingerprinted and photographed for the pleasure of a stopover in a U.S.-American Airport (or having to apply for a visa for the two hours spent on American "soil"), I thought I'd point out that there is no need for anyone to fly through (or to) the U.S. these days.

"No running in the house!"
