Not seeing how wearing a beard makes anyone appear to "try" to be older. It's the way God created man. With beards. The clean shaven look is phasing out. That was cool in the 90s. Most guys have beards now. Many guys also have weird or deformed looking chins, or big oversized noses. But having a beard drastically reduces having those features stand out. I had a middle eastern friend who would often switch between clean shaven and full beard. Without the beard his small chin and huge nose were very noticeable.

 

I think the beard and tattoo look is super hot, however time and again I've found that guys with too many tattoos tend to be baggage claims. I don't know why, but it's more than not.

 

Having corse hair, I get razor bumps if I shave my beard, and even having a 5 o'clock shadow is more irritating and itchy than having a full beard.
