So everyone agrees on Bernardin. Super. What a perfect spot for romance.

 

Eric might want to lay out some choices for time and date first , since that will affect the venue choice. Will it be on a weekday starting at, say, 6:30 or 7, which a lot of New Yorkers prefer? Or will it be held on a Saturday?

Le Bernardin does have private Salons available.....

 

And I'm sure Eric would be delighted to have us.....

 

It's be a while since Les Salons Bernardin has had a bol'shoy skandal.

 

But seriously.....No respectable New Yorker would be caught dead at dinner before 8pm.

Formal fancy dinners dont impress me one bit. The ones I've been to are usually stuffy, reserved and uncomfortable... plus the portions are extremely small... Always needed to grab a burger after leaving them.

I suggested 6:30 or 7 for drinks. But hey, I'm all for a private shindig at Bernardin.

 

And if all else fails, there's always Masa. The damage won't be too bad if only four of us show up. And JJ will love the portions.

Well if you are into water sports perhaps one might take advantage of the situation. After all the Les Preuses '09 @ $570 could make for quite a tasty treat!!! ;) You can't find that at White Castle!

a very helpful, good, constructive suggestion was made to members of this board... 148 posts (and counting) later, we still have no real concrete idea of next steps to actually make this happen. instead we have a lot of strange diversions, pointless digressions, and pettifoggery going on.

 

i am really bored with the silliness here. i'm out.

my comment was facetious since I knew you would latch onto any negative comment sent your way and believe the person making it was part of this "clique" you claim exists. I was hoping you would see the humor in it. Apparently not...

I'm going to take a day to select a time and venue. I'll announce it here and request that folks RSVP by PM or email.

 

My impression was that the time for genuine discussion has ended.

nynt, what do expect us to do while we are waiting for details, sit around and twiddle our thumbs ? .... We are filling time, you need to chill... This is how it rolls here.. sure you have the option to bounce, but why miss out on all the fun ? Oh yeah, becuase you dont find it FUN ! Oops.
