They seem to be advertising and selling them everywhere recently. Some guy had a display at Costco the other day. The sheets certainly seem very soft. One of my qualms is that they seem to have to be treated very delicately. Cold water washing only, no bleach even for white sheets, no fabric softener, and even cool dry. The guy said they came with a lifetime warranty, but when I asked if the information on the warranty/returns came with the package, he said "No, you should take a picture of this paper with the phone number." That kind of pissed me off, so I left. Most of the reviews on Amazon seem pretty positive, although some complain they wrinkle too much. I don't like the idea of not even being able to use warm water with my sheets, but the guy at Costco said that they're "naturally stain-resistant." I guess that would let me use colored sheets if true (I usually use white cotton sheets at home, and I wash them in hot water with bleach). Any of you had any experience with these bamboo sheets?

Yes. I have a few sets that I got from Amazon. They were not cheap, but I love them. They are so lightweight and silky smooth. I don't treat them that delicately and I've had no problems. I don't have any white ones, so bleach is not an issue, but I do use fabric softener with no apparent problem. The only real concession I make is washing and drying them only with other bamboo items. (I also like bamboo boxer briefs.) They dry in no time on low heat.

If the smoothness of silk appeals to you -- as opposed to the snuggle of cotton or flannel -- I highly recommend them.

Flannel for winter only, and a warm, cuddly guy works much better.

I'm always afraid I'll squirt out of bed with bamboo sheets. Satin gives the same fear. I'm perfectly capable of falling out of bed on my own recognizance, thank you.

I had some bamboo sheets years ago and loved them. You did not have to treat them with kid gloves like they say you do.

By the way - you know you can return stuff to Costco (except electronics) basically forever, regardless of the presence or absence of a warranty.

I have a set I purchased at Bed Bath and Beyond. I don't launder them any differently than I do my all cotton sheets ("eco warm" water setting and medium heat dryer) and, after a year or so, the sheets are holding up well. I'm not incredibly picky about sheets being wrinkled, but to my eye these come out of the dryer looking as wrinkle free as they would if I ironed them. I like the way they feel.

Bamboo sheets ? I guess if you eat in Bed they can double as a placemat ?
