Hello all, I'm new to the forum and new to hiring. I'm not really sure about etiquette when contacting escorts. I emailed Marc Dylan to ask if he was still available to hire for escort services. He replied that he only does massage work. Should I just take this as fact, or should I have been more discreet with my question? Has anyone hired Marc recently? Thanks.

Your question was 100% reasonable and totally appropriate. Communication is a good thing. Best for both parties to get things clear up front and avoid confusion or awkwardness later. You asked, he answered. I would take his answer at face value. Rest assured these guys have heard it all from prospective clients. There are no stupid questions so long as they are respectful.

Marc can be abrasive. He's not someone who puts up with what he feels is rude behavior, so he has his fair amount of detractors. But for those who have met him, they generally find him well spoken and quite amiable. There are threads that are quite long about him.

 

I know Marc fairly well and he's given up escorting. He may do a little more during the massage than sensual masseurs, but you'll just have to ask him beforehand. If you meet and click, it never hurts to ask him politely if he might be willing to do more, just don't be offended if he says no.

Agreed. there was a lot of chat about comments / beliefs Mark has. that said, my experience was like bigvalboys. looked great, speaks well and everyone knows how hot his ass is...

I contacted after I read some of the threads about him and he said he was sick of some of the crap that went down here.

 

 

 

It wasn't cr-p, Mike. Marc obviously had and has the right to choose whatever kind of clients he wanted. And unfortunately for us less than attractive guys, he wasn't one of those top tier escorts like Mike Gaite, Tyger, Raul Manzo, David SF, Alec Andrews, or others who seem to be able to get past what a client looks like. I can't really blame him for that. I could never have been an escort.

 

My vague recollection is that when people (me) brought that fact up that his ads said one thing -ie advertising as an escort-but when finding out the prospective client was fat and old (me again) said he was only doing massage-and I brought it up on the Forum-he was not particularly polite. I think I had only questioned why he had an escort ad up if all he was willing to do was massage.

 

On the other hand guys who made the cut, like BVB, found him totally delightful. IIRC I believe there were a few other Forum members at the time besides me who reported not meeting Marc's exacting standards. Again, Marc had the right to choose whatever types of clients he wanted. But since he did seem to be pickier than many an escort, it would have saved some of us some time and disappointment -and would've saved him time and aggravation too-if he had made some type of mention in his ad of 'his type of client'.

 

If I had known he couldn't stomach Quasimodo types beforehand (and again-I realize escorting isn't easy-and everyone has their own limits-in fact I've argued before that escorting is one of those special circumstances where an escort should have the right to refuse a client due to physical appearance or other reasons, as unfortunate as it is for the discriminated client, ), I would never have wasted either of our times by contacting him.

I doubt he is the first or will be the last escort who is picky about his clients. I know there are top tier escorts who will meet old farts like me without demur but I don't expect them all to do so. I don't take it personally if they say no to me. I don't expect everyone to say that I am fucking cool or anything similar. If I'm not an escort's type I don't fret, I move on.

I met Marc during the holidays while he was in New York, by chance. It was actually through Grindr that we came to hookup. I had no idea who he was, as I'm not very versed in porn actor names and had never seen him in anything, and I think maybe that is why we got along so well. He was very sweet and nice to talk to, we mainly just fooled around and chilled after I got off work one night. And as far as what I now know to be his much discussed weight fluctuation, he was in amazing shape and looked much like the above photos.

I don't expect that all escorts will be interested in me either. As I said in the previous post, I've argued before on here that escorts should have the right of refusal for whatever reason. It was more in the way he did it. And then following that the attack here in the Forum when I described what happened. I expected better from someone who was purportedly a professional. It would have been a lot more honest if his ad had had disclaimers. There's an escort now in Seattle whose ad says something like 'no super chubs'. He's honest about the types of clients he wants. And I won't be wasting either my time or his by contacting him. Marc could have saved himself, me, and the other clients he turned down a lot of time and aggravation if he had been as honest in his ads.

I do not know if it is still true, but Mr. Dylan (as opposed to Mr. Dillon of Gunsmoke) has had a height and weight requirement. So even if one wants to meet Mr. Dylan, one must pass a physical.
