I have become a fan of the Stock Bar on line. Looks like my kind of place. Never been there or Campus or Montreal for that matter. So, I decided to remedy that situation and booked a flight and a hotel for 5 nights in mid-June. I like to plan ahead.

This will be a pleasure trip. With any luck the emphasis will be on pleasure. I plan to check out both stripper bars, some of the local talent (from Rentmen,) food and the local sites. I have developed a mild obsession for one of the dancers at Stock (Joshua,) so the best way get over it is actually to meet him--that usually works.

I have gotten some good feedback on Montreal and the bars there on this forum before, but I wondered if anyone has any pointers on the following or other topics:

Proper (cool) behavior at Stock or Campus.

How much money to drop on lap dances (I know, that is impossible to answer.)

How to lure a stripper back to my hotel--like what are the chances of that?

Good casual restaurants.

Other things to do or see in Montreal.

Any recommendation for the following escorts advertising in Montreal (or other suggestions):

http://rentmen.com/ConcordiaJock

http://rentmen.com/GABRIELCLARK

http://rentmen.com/Sebb

http://rentmen.com/BrandonSamuel

http://rentmen.com/spliteboy

http://rentmen.com/Ronielle

Thanks.

I lived there for 6 years and I can tell you a large % of Dancers at Stock are absolutely straight and what they are willing to do on premises for money is far different then their willingness to meet in your room with their girl friends waiting for them to return home.

Also make sure if you find someone willing to meet off premises you make it plain exactly what you expect or you likely will be disappointed.

This certainly holds true for Campus at night and Campus in the afternoon , some of the younger dancers may be willing after you have spent some serious money. However I think they may not be your type.

hey KK (or any other knowledgeable patron)....I'm not quite clear on this....do you mean they are willing to do more or NOT willing to do more off premises (for fair compensation, of course)?.....

I don't know how to make it any plainer. Chances are not good and if you found someone willing then be sure they have been told exactly what you expect and what you will pay.

Strange things happen when the rent is due but in general terms the answer to your question is No but if you are not looking for much action in your room then who knows.

Much better off hiring an escort IMHO.

Sort of what I figured, but one never knows. I assumed most were straight, presumably not all.

I'm always successful finding a dancer to take back to my hotel room from Taboo, or Luxe, or Club Unity. I'm only into white, skinny, boyish, skater twink types. If all else fails, all you have to do is stand outside the Gouvernor Place Depuis hotel at the Berri Uqam park and you will likely have tons of twinks looking for some sugar. I don't visit Campus or Stock, because I'm not into body building muscle types, and as mentioned earlier, a lot of those dancers are straight.

Not familiar with Taboo, Luxe or Club Unity. Care to elaborate? I have nothing against twinks if they are sexy and well equipped. When I go to strip clubs, I am looking for cheap thrills, lots of eye candy (the more explicit, the better,) some flirting perhaps. If I am overcome by passion (not so often anymore,) I like to have the opportunity of more intimate contact. I looked up Taboo on line. Could be amusing.

I'm in Montreal pretty much on a monthly basis and I frequent Stock Bar most nights. If you like masculine manly type guys, Stock is the place to be. Taboo is at the other end of the spectrum with skinny twinky often girlish type dancers. Not my type at all but some folks like that.

My non-scientific conclusion of the Stock dancers is that roughly 10% are gay and 40-50% are strictly straight. That leaves 40-50% that are either bi or gay-4-pay. I find I can have plenty of fun with most of them. Any conclusion that you can't have a good time with a straight stripper is simply wrong as a generalization....although there may be a few specific cases where that is indeed the case. In the end, these guys are driven by cash. Money talks.

Thanks, that would be my take as well. I don't care if the stripper is straight if he delivers the goods. I don't expect any of them straight, gay or bi to be attracted to me. Of course, for them it is about the money. Most seem (on line at least) comfortable with what they are doing. I will be in Montreal 5 nights, so I plan to do some exploring and drop a little cash.

Hi Desperado,

I have visited Montreal 6 times in the last two years. Each time has been for approximately 5 or 6 nights the last time being in October of last year. Each time I have stayed in bed and breakfast or a nice hotel and each trip I have had a young man or two (not that I am a big whore or anything....lol :)) spend time with me back at the hotel and even on accession overnight. I have had guest both from Campus and Stock. So I can attest, it can be done. For the record...I am not a "whale" but seem to get my fair share for a reasonable rate.

I have stayed at the Sir Montcalm which is a block from Stock, the Gouvernor and Courtyard Marriott. I have taken guest back to all three but I have had more come back with me when the hotel was further from the scene....just an observation.

There are several nice places to eat on St Catherine's ....all walking distance from the clubs. St Huberts is a great place and there is a pizza place on the corner down from Campus that is good as well. The Sports Station is a block down from the Gouvernor towards Campus and it has some pretty good food as well.

For fun during the day...it you like touring, Cathedral of Notre Dame is nearby, if you like to gamble a large Casino is a $20 cab ride from hotel if you are staying on St Catherine or Levesque. Also, there is the underground mall for shopping and Old Montreal is fun to shop and walk around too. There is so much to do there I have not even scratched the surface.

Hope this helps....and bon appetite. :)

Thank you very much for your input. I booked a simple, but stylish room at the Hotel St. Denis about 5 blocks from Stock/Campus. Thanks for the information and all your suggestions. I think I will have more than enough to keep me entertained.

Writing now during my first visit to MTL. Went to Campus last night about 1230am after arriving in town. About four customers and no dancers, but friendly staff and customers. Was just a winter Thurs, so we'll try again tonight. Molsons draft $5.75 Canadian. Update later!

As far as Stock is concerned.

Proper (cool) behavior at Stock or Campus.

Just arrive in casual dress for a night out. There's not much to etiquette in the club. In terms of what to do/not to do:

- Do order a drink on arrival and again throughout the night. It's bad form not to order a drink or just one for the whole evening. Stock has plenty of bartenders on duty who are reliant on your tips.

- Don't tip dancers when they are performing on stage. It interrupts both the dancer and the show for the audience. On a Friday & Saturday night, a lot of people go with their partner/friends to just enjoy the stage show. Always be mindful of others enjoyment of the stage show when finding a seat, moving around etc.

- If you're approached by a dancer and are not interested when they ask for a dance then just say no politely and respectfully. Never say "may be later" unless you really mean it. It really annoys the dancers.

- If you're interested in a dancer, don't be afraid to just approach them directly and just ask for a dance. A dancer is there to earn money and more than happy to get straight to business.

- You can come and go as you please throughout the night. If a dancer you're interested in is busy, try coming back when the crowd thins out after midnight.

- As far as private dances are concerned, every dancer is different in the back.

- Never go to Stock on Ladies night. Ever.

How to lure a stripper back to my hotel--like what are the chances of that?

As stated above, it depends not only on the dancer but their mood on the night. Some can be quite forthcoming. Others will brush aside any such suggestion quite abruptly. If you ask questions like "So what do you when you're not dancing at Stock?" or "What are your plans for the rest of the weekend?" the dancer will know what you're getting at. If they're not interested, there's no harm done.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like something I can handle. Ladies night looks like a downer on line. I have nothing at all against women--just not in that particular setting (changes the dynamic.) No problem ordering a respectable number of drinks, being nice to the waiters and tipping like an adult. Thanks for the tip on declining lap dances when not interested. I plan to check out Stock, Campus and Taboo--should be enough to keep me reasonably entertained.

I have been very lucky on ladies night at Stock Bar. I have received lots of attention from the guys as apparently the women buy the booze but the guys don't make a lot of money on that night. We went early one time then left and came back. Once we came back in we were surrounded by hot guys....as one of them put it "those beeches don't tip" In a French accent. lol I suppose it's all in what you are in the mood for but I wouldn't just negate it. Just my 2cents worth. :)

Quick update as promised. Back to Campus tonight with my travel friend. Very casual vibe there and friendly, fun-loving staff (Jonathan behind the bar is cool). As EZE said above, there is a preponderance of straight/straight-ish dancers (not a problem for me). No cover charge. Many tables close to the stage. Could be tight quarters when busy.

Then we went onto Stock later this evening. Somewhat more civilized than Campus with a $4C cover and a $1C coat check. Efficient waiter service. More spacious than Campus. Very masculine/straight/straight-ish dancers in great shape. Was also quiet and a few dancers approached us for privates. Frank, Max, and Denzel appealed to me, among many others. Beer is a couple bucks more than Campus.

More later.

Just hope you don't go to Stock Bar on a night when Drunk Lawyer (DL) is there. This guy, who is apparently a very wealthy lawyer from the US, visits Montreal at least once a month. He picks up the drink tab for all dancers in the bar for the several hours that he's there on Friday and Saturday night. And he spends huge amounts of money on dancers. One dancer, who I had gotten to know pretty well, told me that DL gave him $800 for a dance that lasted 6 songs (ordinarily $20 per song). Another dancer got $500 for five songs and all he had to do was stand there while DL inspected every inch of his naked body with a flashlight.

You can tell when DL is there because he holds court at a table near the dance floor and a big group of dancers are sitting with him or very nearby. They hover around him like flies and ignore other customers. The first time I encountered DL at the Stock Bar and learned what was happening, I left early, as did a lot of other customers. I wish there was a way to post a “stay away” warning if someone knows that DL will be at at the Stock Bar.

Quick update: Campus DOES have a cover after 8pm. They're open 3 to 3 and Stock is open at 8. Ladies night at Campus on Sunday and on Weds at Stock. Stock closed Mondays.

Had a private with Jordan at Campus last night. Lightly hairy (rare for these guys) and has worked there many years in addition to his good day job. In great shape in all ways. Confident, friendly, and eager to please. Very much a man's man.

Yes I've seem him on my infrequent visits. Arrives with literally a bag of cash and takes one dancer after another to the back for private dances. That said, the dancers were still giving other customers attention.
