Bobby,

Great story. I love baseball and watching those guys bend, slide, stretch and run in those tight union suits.

Is there anything more American than helping a dumb jock get his jockstrap and rocks off?

Thanks for sharing.

What fun! You were sitting in the bimbo section!

I doubt you were the first hot guys to show up there, if not in exactly those two seats. :7

Let's see. This guy hires you, is generous, and you reward him with a thread titled "dumb jock."

So much for your own sense of discretion and gratitude!

I'm surprised you were able to pull that off--lying to the girls like that--I can't lie worth a damn. I probably would have excused myself to go to the restroom and never returned. :)

I think this might be what's termed an "open secret." Like Deej, I'd also bet you weren't the first two cute guys to show up in those seats. No doubt some of the gals have caught on, or at least have an inkling!

I don't know about this story. First of all, as the previous poster points out, you respond to a hot guy's generousity by posting a tell-all thread on an escorting message board refering to him as a dumb jock? Even if you left his name out of it, it doesn't sound right, but perhaps you're just a boor. Second, there has never been an out active player in the history of MLB, and I know of only one retired player who is out (journeyman Billy Bean; Glenn Burks died of AIDS in 1995). There are gay MLBers, some of whom are even (very) quietly out to a few select teammates, but all are very closeted otherwise. I have difficulty believing that a deeply closeted, high-profile MLBer could be so indiscreet. Sorry, but a star player giving an ESCORT his player's tickets? I'm just not buying it.

PS: when you say that the seats were "right behind home plate", I assume you mean the angle, not the proximity of the seats. Even the most attendance-starved teams don't give away the first 20-30 rows right behind home plate because those are the prime moneymakers. The complimentary family & friends section is usually a decent, but not great, spot in the park, which is why a lot of top players buy their own season tickets.

So you guys think it is okay for an escort to blabber about a client on the internet as long as he has a "cute" story to tell? I thought we expected discretion...

As far as I am concerned, this thread is more about dumb escort! How would you like to be his next client, wondering what he is going to write about you?

Posted

I don't think Bobby is being all that indiscreet. We don't know what city he's in currently or which ballpark or if the team was home or visiting. I think it would be tremendously hot getting it on with a baseball player--a major fantasy of mine. He didn't give up nearly enough details to blow anyone's cover. I just wish he would've told more juicy tidbits about the sex. I want to hear all about it.

I hope the dumb jock was a power bottom! :9

Actually, I hope he was a "pitcher" rather than a "catcher"...damn proud of the way he swings his big bat and eager to score a few home runs... :9

(Currently trying to decide whether my shirtless photo of Nomar - from a Sports Illustrated cover - should remain up on my wall or not, now that he's been traded away... :( )

Nomar just became a Chicago Cub, and you know of course Wrigley Field is a scant 2-block stroll away from such Chicago boystown attractions as Cellblock and (used to be) Manhole.

It's convenient. I'm just sayin.... :*

I'm with Lucky on this one. When a client shares personal information with an escort it should remain private, and that includes his occupation. Regardless of whether or not he mentions his name, being discreet is how this game is played. x(

Thanks for the support, Cooper. It surprises me how many guys do not find this thread objectionable. I guess it depends on how juicy the gossip is.

JH: Why don't you address the issue of whether or not this escort has broken the golden rule of client discretion and stop worrying if people are taking sides. If you re-read his opening paragraph, he states that the client doesn't want his personal information revealed and has gone to extents to hide it. Then, the escort goes and "gossips" about it. In my book that's wrong. :-(

Personally, this whole thread reeks of self-promotion.

JH, I have to agree with Lucky and Cooper on this one. Its not a matter of taking sides but the golden rule. An escort needs to be discrete about their clients. I also would not like to be this ball player and read this thread about being referred to as dumb jock. Even though I am now "out" at work and everywhere about being gay, I don't discuss my escort relationships with even close local gay friends. I feel comfortable and open with this aspect of my gay life only with a select group of board members I have met from this M4M site. This site is too public for that when the client was clear about how concerned they were about being discrete.

Well you will have to keep the photo of Nomar! If you decide to get rid of it let me know I will pick it up (I am in the area!) mine is all well yucky now!

Why don't you get the facts straight before you accuse the escort of betraying a confidence.

1: We don't know the ball players name

2: We don't know what team he plays for.

3: We don't know what city the game was held in

4: I don't even think we know the date of the game

So, Mr. Sherlock Holmes - tell us who the player is. And if you can't do that, then explain to us what harm was done!!!

You know what?

I think the dumb jock title fits the OP more than the client he referred to. By posting this info here, he has obviously set some red flags for folks. It was a dumb thing to do. Did I enjoy the story? Yup, because baseball players are a fantasy of mine, not because the original post had some kind of gossip value. If he had identified the player, I would be outraged.

You know what else? If the client is passing out free tickets to his personal seats, it won't take long for the clucking heads in the family section to put things together.

The issue of whether people are taking sides or whether someone agrees with me or not, I really couldn't care less. The comment about juicy gossip was unnecessary and a little too Bitchy for me. You guys have met me and I am not a gossip type , so being tagged a gossip queen didn't sit well.

As for self promotion, I do think the OP's ego is involved here for sure.

Having said all that, I think we agree that the line between being discrete and not discrete is apparently different for each of us. Until I can identify the player, I don't know him and his secret is as safe with me as Mike Piazza's.

I still love Cooper, John Pela and would love to jump sexy Lucky.

There, that's it for me.

So you feel confidence wasn't betrayed in this case because specific names, teams and ballparks weren't disclosed? If I tell someone I was arrested and I also tell that same person not to tell anyone I was arrested they are betraying that trust EVEN if that persons says to a third person, "hey, a friend of mine was arrested".

This is about ethics. This is about human dignity. YES ... I used the word ethics in connection with prostitution. That client and the escort entered into an ethical agreement. The mere fact he has discussed this whole incident without proper nouns doesn't negate the fact he violated client/escort confidentiality.

If an escort I was with discussed me like the client who was described in the initial post of this thread I would most certainly never go with him again, write a review reflecting this and say nothing positive if someone asks me about the escort.

A true escort will bring details and anecdotes to his grave. I believe that is an assumed given that that confidentiality is included in the price.

You ask what harm was done? Emotional harm was done. If the client reads this thread they will no doubt think what else is this escort capable of sharing and divulging. The fact we don't know who, what, where and when doesn't make this disclosure right at all.

You feel the original post did not have some kind of gossip value? WHAT!?!?!

GOSSIP: Definition:

[n] light informal conversation for social occasions

[n] a report (often malicious) about the behavior of other people; "the divorce caused much gossip"

[n] a person given to gossiping and divulging personal information about others

[v] chew the fat; shoot the breeze

[v] wag one's tongue; speak about others and reveal secrets or intimacies

Posted

> wag one's tongue; speak about others and reveal secrets

What secrets or intimacies were revealed?

That he's a baseball player? Woo Hoo! Everyone has a reason to get their panties in a bunch!

I have to wonder, though, if the reaction would have been the same had it been a butcher, baker, or candlestick-maker.

I suspect not, and there's no more issue there than there is here.

OK, for clarification sake,

I didn't say the Original post didn't have a gossip value, I said (since I am not a gossip type person and generally don't enjoy the process of gossip) that what attracted me to the story was that I have a baseball fantasy. There, does that explain it ? If my meaning wasn't clear, hopefully I have fixed that now.

thanks for the dictionary definition for those who needed it.

:D
