Seriously, there are funnier ways to say Daddy takes too many/too long vacations -

1. Daddy is THE first and only "owner" of the board.

2. There is no previous "owner".

3. Daddy did work with Hooboy, but Hooboy's web site disappeared into his estate.

4. Anyone who's been a forum member since 2002 should know these facts and quit bitchin'.

Two different people with different styles. I hurt my back at the gym the night before Thanksgiving 2000 and stayed home for the next 4 days. Hooboy was trying to post the daily reviews from London on Thanksgiving and ran into problem after problem, most of which he discussed here.

 

Daddy is more low key. I like (liked) both men and remember Hooboy, who died in early 2005, fondly.

Daddy deserves a break from time to time. He rarely asks us for anything and gives so much in return. A few times I've been on the receiving end and have been very greatful he lended me his ear and advice. He takes his role as Daddy seriously. Be it escort or client he wants us to be the best we can be. I'm very fortunate to have met him virtually and in real life. So instead of beating the man down lets give him some appreciation.

I must have read Daddy's tribute to Hooboy before, but this year it particularly touched me. Daddy is certainly right about Hooboy traveling the world. And I had forgotten how Hooboy and Daddy met. Daddy's tribute is well worth reading.

 

Hooboy left us almost eleven years ago. I remember the morning I logged on to this site and learned that Hooboy was gone. It was a huge shock to me and many, many others that morning (and still is after all these years later).

As 3-month old member of the forum, reading the tribute felt like opening a photo album and learning about a distant family member that has managed to touch you thru space and time. Although my current user name here belies the facts (had to change from old user name due to some online stalker/harass issues) I too have been around since day one. The original message board that HooBoy put up unmoderated was a young internet troll/anarchy fest at its best, lol. I think he felt it was just a small adjunct to the reviews, and never realized how significant this part of the website would become.

 

Yeah I miss news and reviews five days a week, but Daddy deserves a break.
