When rugby is discussed on gay forums, its usually about hot professional players (i.e.; the French national team and calendar; the Burgess brothers; BOD; etc.) and sharing saucy pics, and not about the matches. There's only so many times I can take a double entendre about "wanting to scrum with that" or "I'd maul him" ad infinitum before I just give up

I think we just found our first "legit" rugby poster @BtmBearDad

Far less so about tennis, except for Nadal's very nice ass. I do notice an intense dislike for Sharapova and a strong preference for Federer rather than Djokovic. The latter has cooled though now that Novak Djokovic won three of the four grand slams this year (as in 2011).

the sports forum is coming together nicely ;)

Opposite of QTR, sports over financial. I have not written about a sports forum because I assume (perhaps falsely) that it would be mostly about pro football and almost never about Serena Williams and Novak Djokovic ei al.

If a sports discussion were mostly about tennis, I'd be more interested but would still have less knowledge/expertise unless we were discussing, say, Navratilova vs. Evert or McEnroe vs. Connors. Those I have opinions about. Since I don't watch tennis matches (or really any sports) anymore, I have much less to contribute other than to say the people who thought Sports Illustrated should have picked a racehorse as Sportsperson of the Year instead of Serena Williams need to get their brains checked.

-a former member of a weekly NFL betting pool who won just as often as anyone else did

(Comments not meant to imply anything about the person to whom I am responding other than we both enjoy tennis but he's more serious about it and familiar with what's current than I am.)

I would prefer sports.

However, I would think that the escort community would be more interested in an "Investment Forum". The theme of the Forum would be how to invest significant amounts when they are not showing any significant amounts of income. Oh, that's right all the escorts posting here declare every penny that they receive in services for their time only. So that would be a mute point.

Just kidding! Seriously just kidding!

When I do like a sport I tend to go all out. I am a St. Louis Cardinals. When the Cardinals are lucky enough to get to the World Series (fairly often), it is a big deal for me.

My ex is like that about the Rams NFL team irrespective of what city it's based in. He views the Cowboys and Dolphins with as much disdain as he cheers for the Rams. As for local teams, he roots for the NFL Giants and the NY Yankees. While I liked the Yankees back when Reggie Jackson played for them, these days I cheer for the Mets (my father's team) or the Boston Red Sox. George Steinbrenner's antics and an overpaid team ended any desire I had to root for the Yankees.

Like others on here, try other topics and see if there's interest....sports, business, whatever. But in no way would I ever take any stock advice from here. Sorry to be so emphatic about this but everyone should be cautious about financial advice from any... not just this one, any.... anonymous forum.

I wouldn't mind others opinions, educated opinions. However a lot of guy's don't enjoy sharing there knowledge, for multiple reasons. I would enjoy this because I have a passion for investing and I lived off short term and some long term investments for almost a year. I did my own research and made my own mistakes along the way, however most of the time I was successful. I looked at blogs and twitters of other stock anaylst and did well. But I find many friendships and other boards stay clear of sharing information..

How about a topic such as sex? Okay! Okay! I was being facetious but there is a lot of info out there that might be helpful to some people and rather than having it sprinkled all over the forum, just consolidate into one place.

It's a serious problem, at least for those that don't show all of their income. I've been in on going conversations with an escort who wants to invest in real estate. It can be a bit tricky entering the market for the first time. We've come up with a solution (no, not the solution) that might just work...

I'd be fine with one but I don't think a lot of guys here would have much to say on it

On what, jimboi? Sports, finances, sex or all three? Bunch of dumb people here, I guess.

Years ago an escort in NYC told me that he had multiple safe deposit boxes that were literally overflowing with cash and he was saving up to invest in real estate. He is now retired from the business. As such I have always wondered if and how he was able to pull it off.

I now just might now know how he may have done it as BVB evidently is and probably has been an investment consultant to the working guy for quite some time! Who woulda thunk?!?

While I work in the financial field, I am not a finance guy per se, so I *may* have this wrong - but wasn't it much easier before 1999/2000 to move and use large amounts of cash? I ask as I remember back in the late 90's a great aunt died and when we sold her house, the buyer showed up at the closing literally with a suitcase of money. My parents' lawyer said it was fine and they never suffered any consequences from it. Also, I know after my father died, cleaning out his "stuff" (the man was a hoarder - but all organized in file cabinets - pay stubs from the 40's; bank books from banks that no longer exist; stock certs from companies that no longer exist or certs my mother never knew about - - was kind of fun going thru it all) there was every tax return they made and they didn't declare 1/2 the income they should have. When I questioned my mother she said "Oh everyone did it back then!" Again, no repercussions so either they were exceedingly lucky or I'm missing something. Me - I don't take a chance, I have an accountant, an attorney and an advisor. I don't want the IRS, SEC, FINRA, et al looking at me for any reason.

What if we make a deal and we get a Sports forum and a Business stock market forum?

Let's have a Missouri compromise.

The Missouri Compromise, however, was a disaster, because it just postponed the problem of how to deal with a country in which slavery was legal in half the states and illegal in the other half. Not that I think a civil war is likely to erupt here between the Sports Forum supporters and the Business/Market Forum supporters, but it's not an encouraging analogy.

I just read through the contract for a real estate transaction and it states: "cash, certified check or bank draft or attorny's trust draft". However, I can't imagine cash being involved.
