The therapists would say it's not a problem unless it interferes in the rest of your life-ie (if you'll pardon the expression) 'screws' up school, work, or friendships. Some people have higher sex drives than others.

 

That's the key Jock. It certainly can't be interfering with your profession since it's actually an asset. So unless you're avoiding your friends because you'd rather stay at home and rub one out, then go for it. Enjoy that thing!

I think there's a 12-step program for sex addicts. You could go to a meeting and see if there's a fit. Compulsions like alcoholism, drug addiction, overeating and gambling are essentially self-diagnosed.

If it helps, I can give you a perspective from the opposite side of the spectrum:

 

Even in my 20's, I was NEVER interested in masturbation more than once a day. And from what I understood from others, I felt like I was WAY-underperforming compared to them (I heard about 3x per day, and was amazed).

 

So maybe you're closer to average than you think.
