OIL WRESTLING

also called grease wrestling, is the Turkish national sport. Wrestlers, known as pehlivan ("hero" or "champion") douse themselves with olive oil and wear a kind of hand-stitched lederhosen (a kisbet) traditionally made from buffalo hide, but more recently from calfskin.
