I emailed a well reviewed escort 3x over the last 9 days (twice from my personal email account, and once through rentmen) asking about his travel schedule. He does not indicate any preference for a method of contact. I did not want to call since I am not looking to set something up until I know if/when he will be in my area (NYC). I have yet to get any type of response. Should I write this guy off or am I being unreasonable?

That's one answer...

Yet another would be "Thank you for responding to my ad - I appreciate your interest. I don't currently have any plans to be in your area but keep my itinerary current in my profile. Thanks again and I hope we have the opportunity to meet in the future. Best Wishes".

A little courtesy goes a long way and is remembered.

Exactly, I'm sure he knows how to type fast, besides NYC... whatever you want you have it there.

It's also a good idea to check the spelling of your email, at least in the old system of RB, I know some escorts who complained about would-be-clients not entering their email correctly and misspelling it, making a reply on RB difficult.

The majority of escorts that I contact respond very quickly, sometimes surprisingly so. The ones that don't - well I may have forgotten about them by the time they get back to me. One of the things you read in business books is that you want to eliminate barriers to people doing business with you. The escorts who respond lightning fast have learned that lesson, the ones who don't haven't.

I did double check the spelling and sent him email from my own account so a simple click on reply would have worked. It didn't bounce back so he must have received it. Its unfortunate cause I have s serious hard-on for him... oh well.

The pathetic thing is that I'd probably forgive him and hire if he got back to me. Can you say doormat? LOL

You're being unreasonable if you don't write this guy off. You know he's not serious about this business. Why bother? Or are you looking for more aggravation? Escorts who respond promptly aren't just easier to deal with as escorts, they're just plain easier to deal with.

This, this, THIS, a million times this. I find it incredibly rude and baffling if someone, especially a professional, cannot be bothered to type even a one sentence reply to an enquiry that is coherent, well typed, polite and to the point.

I tolerate it from friends and personal contacts, but professionals? No. Simply no. It's a basic part of doing business. I, as a client, will remember a gesture of courtesy like this and it will establish a beginning of loyalty before even the first hire! I am training myself to "get over myself" of course, because the only one stressing out over non-replies is me.

Years ago I enquired about some info with Out Adventures, a gay travel agency from Canada. When I realized I wouldn't be able to use their services the owner responded with a short, but very nice, reply, thanking me for my enquiry and hoping to see me on one of their trips! To this day, six years later, I have not forgotten this and going on a trip with Out Adventures is still on my bucket list!

interestingly...there is an app for G-mail users which gives notification when an email is opened by the recipient so you will know, one way or another, that at least he got the email. No notification, then he did not open the email.

I think it is well-established that Tyger is "serious" about escorting. He has given the potential client at least two ways to contact him and it is up to the client to make the next move. Email has a reputation for being unreliable.

I have contacted other escorts via email without incident and Yahoo is hardly an unreliable email provider. 2 separate emails directly to his yahoo account and a third through rentmen should be sufficient to elicit a response. As a potential client, I feel that I have done what I can. I can only conclude that, for whatever reason, he was not interested in interacting with me, which is certainly his choice. I don't feel comfortable phoning someone who has chosen not to respond to me after several attempts on my part.

That's not what you said originally, which was that you didn't want to call without specifics for meeting up. You do whatever you want, but it's rather telling that someone has time to whine on a message board rather than pick up a phone and call. I'm not sure why you couldn't have phrased your question as such: "I am trying to contact Tyger and have been unsuccessful via email. I am am very interested in seeing him. Does anyone have suggestions?" instead.

I feel like a text should be responded to right away if possible and a email within the hour...Remember there is days where we as a escort take off and It usually will take me longer to respond...
