So the new Dancing with The Stars cast is up. Hurrah! In case anyone hasn't noticed, I've been immersing myself in reading articles about violence, disease, and trafficking in sex workers. Nice to think about some other things instead, like:

Alex Skarlatos, soldier and hero who along with a friend stopped a whack job from killing people on a train. And did I mention, a total hunk? The ABC bio said he is studying to be a cop. Hmmmmm. Do they teach strip searches? And can I be the model?

There is, of course, also Carlos Penavega, of Big Time Rush. But that brought me back to misery. Notwitshstanding Mario Lopez, William Levy, and Corbin Bleu, my all time favorite DWTS Big Time Crush was James Maslow from a few seasons ago.

I'm still not sure which pisses me off more - he didn't fall in love with his dance partner Peta Murgatroyd, or he didn't hire me.

I mean to teach him to dance, silly. :p

I was curious as to who else would be classified as a "star" and I must admit, I feel like I am a bigger star than most of the contestants.

Mr. Skarlatos is certainly handsome, unquestionably brave but he is hardly a "star". The other contestants seem to me, to be a mixture of people that you did not care about when they had noteriety and other people who have sunk to new lows in order to keep their faces before the public. I hope Mr. Skarlatos wins, not because he is a star, but because he did something selfless and courageous. That act was admirable. I am not sure any of the others are famous for anything deserving particular praise or further glorification.

I became a Big Time Rush fan after James Maslow's appearance on DTWS. While the show was obviously aimed at the teen market, once I got past the overuse of sound effects I actually found the show funny a lot of the time. And their music was of the pop/dance variety, one of my favorite genres. Carlos Pena Vega was probably my favorite guy on the show simply because he had the goofiest character, but all of the actors were very cute. James Maslow, of course, has continued to get more and more sexy since the show ended, but I think he's still only in his mid twenties so that shouldn't be surprising.

As to the "star" aspect of DWTS, the show is always a mixture of politicians, sports figures, news makers, reality TV figures, etc. Of course no current A-lister is going to appear on that show, if only because I think that one really does need to put a lot of hours and hard work into rehearsing. I don't think that someone who doesn't need additional exposure would be willing to sign up for that. So DWTS mostly features stars who are past their primes, actors with some level of success who surely would like to reach even greater heights, and athletes who may both want the attention and the challenge of engaging in a something different of an athletic nature. I have no idea whether James Maslow's appearance on DTWS has enhanced his marketability, but Mario Lopez's stint on the show can surely be credited, at least in part, to his resurgence on television.

Life is unfair.

I once told somebody I wanted to be the first celebrity male escort to be on Dancing With The Stars. His response: "Cool. But don't you have to be a celebrity first?" :(

Hey, if you're going to quote me at least you can give a proper citation. ;)

Just don't be a "spoiler" if you've seen the episode and Mr. K hasn't.

Really, guys. Are you going to make me spell it out?

You are both dear friends.

One of you is funny. As in wicked smart ass jokes. Not cold. Funny. :p

One of you is stupid. As in, "Oh, here's who wins the show we're about to spend the next 2 hours watching together."

I'll let our discerning readers figure out which one is witch. I mean which.

Which is a bitch to figure out who is the witch.

I have noted that the better someone dances the better they are in bed, judging by that, Steven you might just win dancing with the stars, unless of course I am also a contestant and then I am afraid you would be a distant third.

We would need, no require, a video of each of you, both dancing AND bedding, to make an informed decision. They must each be posted here on the forum (at the same time) so we can all judge.
