I agree. Premier takes suggestions from clients about special guests, and often follows through on the request. If Premier closes, the management deserves special recognition for what they accomplished, especially in the 1990s and the decade after.

It may be the last. But I'll say their selection of guys for those of us who like athletic/muscular versatile or bottom guys has suffered for a long time now. They haven't had that many really athletic guys. And when they have, they have usually only been tops. I even called them about 5 years ago asking if one of their guys might be more versatile than listed for an extended appointment. He wasn't. But I asked them why they didn't have more athletic guys as they had had years ago. Whoever answered the phone told me that more people wanted twinks. I had a lot of trouble believing that.

Several years after that agency folded-and I don't think it was around more than a year or two-I somehow found some blog or something that guy was on. On the blog it talked about how he had been escorting through a rough time in his life. I can't remember if he talked about using drugs or steroids or had become HIV positive. I think he had had either a heart attack or a stroke. I mainly remember coming across this guy's info because he had been one of the guys I had been attracted to most on the site.

 

Speaking of coming across someone's info-there was an escort in Austin who escorted for years named Jody. He was a short muscular guy. He was only a top so I never met him. He quit at one point. And somehow I came across either Jody talking about his time escorting or someone else talking about Jody's time escorting. Either Jody or this other guy was talking about what a hard time he had had that had forced Jody to escort. But then sometime after I saw that Jody started running an ad again.

That's funny-I almost echo your same complaint with the exception that I know for certain that for years almost all of the jocks/muscular guys they had that they advertised as straight, gay, or bisexual were invariably tops. The one major guy I can think that advertised as versatile or bottom has only been around fairly recently-Luke. And he has been advertising as an independent for around a year or so.

 

I managed to hire from Premier either two or three times. The first time was a guy with an average build-cute face. I remember he was one of the few I was interested in. The second time was a big burly linebacker type although when not escorting he had some kind of Master's in Education or something and sold antiques on the side (strangely enough he had met at a convention the wife of my Dallas grandparents' physician).

 

But the last time I really remember Premier having some some jock-ish versatile guys on a regular basis was right before I started hiring in the very late 1990's (I first hired in 2002 but I had looked at the sites for around 6 years at that point). There was one guy I particularly remember who stopped escorting long before I was brave enough to hire. I think the blurb on him was that he was a wrestling coach.

Jonathan is a great memory for me too, I hired him for three years (1999-2002), the last two years were as an independent escort. He became more muscular during those three years (Gman, are you reading this!). The last guy I hired from them was a big linebacker type probably back in 2005. He and his boyfriend were both on the site. While they were together the boyfriend wouldn't let him bottom for clients although I think he bottomed in their relationship. They broke up. Both were still on the site, but after the break up the guy I hired started advertising as versatile although he still usual topped-in fact I don't think he could take me. (I'm on the underendowed side of things. But I'm slightly thick).

I agree with you on this one. I remember hiring Brent and Jonathan multiple times and also Steve, Kristian (from Houston/LA multiple times), Reed, Josh , Drew, Jimmy and Marc.
