While at home If I disconnect from my wifi and use my cell phone connection I can get to the site. Any attempt to go through my ISP (Time Warner Cable) and I am unable to resolve the domain name.

Note that I only tried the Mac version of this.

 

In Windows, open a command line window ( Start button--> All Programs--> Accessories--> Command Prompt). In that window, type in "tracert rentmen.com" (without quotes of course) and press return.

 

On a Mac, open up a finder window and, in the search box on the upper right, type in "Network utility" (without the quotes). It will come up under applications. Double click it, and click on Traceroute. Then type in "rentmen.com" and click Trace.

Just speculating, but perhaps the site will generate better results for escorts as it becomes more frequently used by prospective clients. My impression is that a lot of guys have thought of RB and RM as the two "main" sites, but--although many have praised the "look" and some of the unique features of RM--they've used RB far more often for one simple reason: many more men were listed there.

 

Now that the RM numbers are growing (I am only watching the NYC listings, but they are up by nearly 30 guys in the last two-and-a-half days), I'm guessing it will become the go-to site for those guys who look to internet sites for information/options.

 

P.S. Stress can age you. And it's been a stressful week. I notice that one guy who just showed up on RentMen is now 32; he was only 30 on RB. Ah, well, still younger than his driver's license says he is, I'm sure.
