I've always said that I don't have a shred of bisexuality in me, but looking at the women who just earned their Army Ranger badges, particularly Kristen Griest, maybe there's just a drop of bisexuality in me??

I feel a song coming on....

Well, I guess I'd rather have Jeremy Jordan....

That's interesting. I'm not attracted to her at all. There have maybe been a few transgendered males I've thought were handsome. In general however, masculine looking females do nothing for me. Of course pretty female do nothing for me either except on an aesthetic basis.

I guess you could say that the odds of finding even a drop of bisexuality in me are the same as the odds of finding a Unicorn (present company excluded of course). :p:D

I think they grew their hair out, put on some makeup and wore a dress, they would look about as typically feminine as the average US female.

I'm not sexually attracted to them because I know behind army stylings they are women, and I am 100% gay male.

But congrats to them on breaking new ground and meeting the challenge, that is always something to be admired.

These ladies do have a certain boyish look but they're not on any scale of sexual attractiveness for me personally. I'd certainly take the beautiful Jeremy Jordan every time, given the choice!!!:D:D;)

Congratulations to these women. They have gone where no other women have gone before. You really have to hand it to them. Their looks are what you would expect for a combat Ranger. I am sure they scrub up well and look very feminine.

You think they'll come out because of their haircuts or because they finished Rangers school?

I'm the first to admit that most women have no interest in joining the military, but a few do. You'd be surprised at how tough straight women can be. After all, they give birth, often without pain killers.

You don't have to look to the military to find tough, no-nonsense straight women. There are a lot of really tough nurses that you don't mess with. There are some really formidable women in elementary education - same thing, you don't mess with them. My partner's niece is an assistant principal in one of the worst elementary schools in San Francisco. Her students are some really tough customers - and THEY are afraid of HER. And then of course there are female trial lawyers. You don't trifle with them either.

And when you find both in one package! My ex had an aunt who served as a battlefield nurse in WWII. Although it was Not In Her Job Description, more than once she found herself crawling under razor wire and live fire to drag wounded men back to relative safety.

Many years ago, I worked at a VA hospital. Quite a few of the head nurses and nursing supervisors were retired military nurses. They were women who were used to being listened to. They ran their floors like units in military hospitals. Any patient who didn't have an order for "bed rest" on his chart had to be up, showered, shaved, dressed, bed made and sitting at his bedside for morning rounds.

If I had to cross back over to the other side, those Army Rangers would work just fine for me. Granted, I'd rather spend time getting to know their male counterparts, but yeah, the female Rangers are hot.

Interesting because they put me slightly on edge. It's a prejudice. But I like guys who look like guys and women who look like women. I'm not a fan of androgyny. Maybe it stems back from a girl in my drama class in high school-she wore her hair very short-was aggressive-and carried a switchblade in her pocket. I was scared of her. But I don't think it's all due to Melissa. But she probably didn't help.
