Most are horrendous but I would not mind ripping the onesie off the guy in Ad 6 nor the red stain leotard off the hot guy in #39

My eyes, my eyes!!! Most of those photos are cringeworthy. I wore something similar to the sweater in photo #5 (dark with stripes across chest and down sleeve). Also, how did they manage to make underwear unsexy!

I think they're all 70's porn stars in that ad. Isn't that Kip Noll on the left? And I recognize the guy on the right but can't put a name to him. Possibly just someone I've seen in a lot of underwear ads from that era, I spent a lot of time in those weekend sale flyers from Hudson's. I'm pretty sure the guy sitting down in #4 did underwear, 10-year-old me was mesmerized by his hairy chest.

The one thing I find truly horrible is the color palette. That particular shade of mustard, not to mention the not-brown, not-burgundy earth tone … UGH! At least our color palette has improved.

The Better Homes & Gardens aesthetic. Actually I liked it in the '60s but then came the '70s with the acres of shag carpet etc. in just the tones you paint.
