I had a one-hour session scheduled for tonight, but I am sick so I cancelled it. I cancelled it three days ago (on Tuesday for a Friday session), but never heard back from the escort, who is a popular well-reviewed escort.

Is that standard when a new client cancels? Or one-hour clients? I did say that I hoped we could reschedule the next time he was in town and was a little surprised at the non-response.

I think three days is plenty of notice. I wouldn't put any weight on the escort's lack of response, though I agree that brief acknowledgement such 'ok, maybe another time' would have been nice. I'd still try to contact him at a later time if you still wish to meet.

Cancellations are a fact of life. Three days seems fine to me. Escorts have a particular vulnerability WRT cancellations because they have little recourse if you cancel at the last minute. Last week, at the last minute, I realized I had a scheduling conflict and had to cancel with my trainer on an hour's notice. I felt like a shit, and of course, I had to pay for the missed appointment. He was very understanding. He's a complete doll - a big Brazilian hunk.

My biggest pet peeve....it takes literally seconds these days to respond to email or text. So while everyone has busy lives and many things to do, including escorts, it's just common courtesy. Even if you are pissed and missed the income, it only takes 5 seconds to type "sorry to hear that, maybe next time". If I was the client I would feel very bad and go out of my way to reschedule .....so I guess it's common courtesy and good business ;-) Just saying!!!!!

This a rather older post but escorts/masseurs are their own salesmen. I recently had a well reviewed Miami masseur reply with a snarky reply when I texted I was stuck in traffic due to rain on a major highways. I rather he say "yea it's rather nasty outside lets reschedule" than a snarky "you realize you're late right?" There's plenty of competitors out there, you leave a client with a bad taste in theirs mouth and a bad first impression they're going to go to someone else period.
