Thanks for sharing... fun to look at the swimming suits that guys had to wear in that era. It would have been nice to see him in one of the suits that guys wear today in competitive swimming, based on the outline in that first picture !!

You could get an idea of a more revealing "swimsuit" view by renting "Tarzan the Fearless." Clarence was not much of an actor, but he sure looked good.

Speaking of Tarzan movies, Johnny Weismuller was one of the most beautiful men ever to play that character, even better looking than Crabbe. In the first film when he meets Jane (Maureen O"Sullivan) for the first time, their physical chemistry is palpable. Their swimming scene together is one of the most erotic things ever put in a mainstream film. He was just a breathtaking man in those early movies.

Mr. Crabbe not the Spongebob character, but rather the topic of this thread, also cut a mean figure as Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon. Natural beauty. I hate to disagree with the opinion of some others, but while Mr. Weismuller is a fine hunk of man, Mr. Crabbe has the classic good looks and he would far and away be the Tarzan I would prefer to swing on my vine.

Thanks for the suggestion, Kenny... have to find that movie and take a close look... I agree that Weismuller is a hunk, but I think I would prefer to spend an evening with Crabbe... or even Jon-Erik Hexum for that matter.
