On Sunday, July 12 I was at the clothing optional gay beach on Sandy Hook, New Jersey. There were literally 100s of men prancing around naked. I must say - there were very, very few of them I could possibly think about having sex with. I cannot imagine who must walk through an escort's door at times. The professionals do an AMAZING job. Worth every penny ... and then some.

That may be a selection issue. There are exceptions, but you'll probably find a higher % of gym-fit guys at a regular beach or walking down the street in Chelsea.

That rings true. Years ago, I had a very stressful job. I used to cool my jets by going to San Gregorio beach by myself every weekend. Whenever anybody asked me during the week what I had I done, and I said I had gone to San Gregorio, they would raise their eyebrows conspiratorially, as if to say, "I know what you were up to." In truth, the crowd was always so unattractive that I always got plenty of sun and rest and relaxation, but not much else.

First off I admire the work escorts do because I couldn't do it - no matter how many acting classes one can sign up for! I cannot fake it for someone I find repulsive but these professionals escorts pull it off and that's really " a gift." As a client I have no game plan to meet an escort I just be myself and treat them respectfully and remember they're human too. Like escorts, hygiene is a BIG issue for me too! Yea you can bathe all you want but if your breath stinks or your clothes wreak of cigarette/weed smoke - it's all over

To return to the subject and respond to some responses to my earlier post on this thread, I don't feel comfortable with the way the "About You" part highlights certain things. Yes, it's meant for conveying information neutrally, but the "average-looking, overweight' descriptions are to my mind as questionable as the tall, handsome, HWP ones.

But mostly it has to do with the difficulty I have being objective about how I look. I can be objective about, and list in the "about you" section, things like my age, gender, ethnicity, and background. I cannot be objective about my looks or shape. I'm neither ugly nor strikingly beautiful, but where do I fall in between? I find I am far more objective about how I look in older photos. I was damn cute as a kid, close to pretty. And pretty as a contact-wearing thirtysomething.

To return to the review, am I overweight, obese, fat, or chubby? Does it matter that I'm 5' 1" (down 1" from my tallest)? To be truly honest would require more words. So I put it in the body of the review instead.

Sometimes I report bare facts - height, weight, age and the fact that I am very fit.

I do that too. Even in my first email to a prospective new escort whom I have never met before. I think it's a nice courtesy, and it may make my inquiry stand out when compared to the other emails he is receiving that day. That is for escorts. For masseurs I do the same thing. One of my masseurs told me he always asks prospective new clients what their weight/height is - he charges more for weight-challenged clients. It IS more work to massage a chubby person. Therefore, they should be charged more, or be denied service. Makes sense.

I answered an ad of a well known porn star who politely preferred a photo of his prospective client. I don't think he was looking for gorgeous. He was just looking for some information on who he would be sleeping with. After all, the client sees the escort totally nude and gets a good self-description, while the escort has no idea what will show up at his door. I sent that photo as requested.

Was it Sean Zevran?

Escorting has its proper modus operandi and "rules" that are somewhat different from "dating" and hooking up online sites.

Sometimes prospective clients or newbie clients approach an escort as they would approach someone on Grindr on Manhunt.

In my opinion, a truly professional escort wouldn't ask the client to send his self picture.
