One evening I will never forget. I was the first member of my entire family born outside of Germany (even the dog was a German Shepard)....I decided to stop by my parents house that evening while they were watching the news...it was the first time I had seen my dad cry....and that said a lot, him being a German Navy officer in the second world war...he always said he would never see that day!!

I remember when it happened ... I was in a hotel room in Munich and just couldn't believe what I saw on television. Wunderbar!

I also remember that historical day: I remember exactly where I was and what I did when it happened. Much as 9/11.

I think those are two of the most memorable dates in my lifetime that changed history. There was "before" and "after".

You would have been pre-adolescent, am I right?
