Amateur vs. full time escorts, also do pornstars make better escorts or just busier?

 

Many of them don't do with clients as much as they do on film... specially if they're truly straight.

 

Is doing porno a good way for an escort to advertise himself?

 

I've met great "pornstars" like Duncan Black and Rafael Alencar, I've tried hiring Ryan Rose but he flaked on me as he did to DChotasianguy and Silverdollar. Other pornstars were a huge disappointment.

 

I've also met great guys who asked me not to even write a review about them because they wanted to remain "under the radar" and not expose themselves and jeopardize their future, guys who were just getting by in college while occasionally escorting.

 

I know this ain't the first time this subjects come up.

Marylander1940, my own experience is similar in many ways to yours, although I have hired more porn actors from Europe than the States, and in general those were more "successful" (and way less expensive there than here).

 

In reading forums on this sight for over 14 years my understanding is that it is a sort of "both/and" proposition.

 

For some escorts - doing "limited" porn gives them a wider audience (outside of the city where they generally live/work), but at the same time, not all porn stars can or are willing to provide the full service a client is expecting; the on-screen persona can get it on with extremely HOT guys (though we all know some need doses of Viagra and whatever else - injection, cream or girlfriend off camera - to keep it relatively hard), and when with a client are as laid back and limp as their... member. They charge $300 and up just for the honor of meeting them.

 

Then there are those under the radar who advertise more discreetly and who are really hidden treasures to be enjoyed over and over (but not to share or review so that they do not a) become too unavailable; or b) burn out with tinges of celebrity.

 

Some can work both worlds (porn and escorting) rather successfully (such as Rafael Alencar) but they are few and far between.

Some escorts get jaded with the years, clients become a number, no longer a person. Others don't last in the business because they can't handle it, even with Viagra.

Oh, Lord, how I've had some good experiences with porn stars. I will usually pay extra for the privilege. After all, if they can perform in the highly unromantic setting of a movie set with a director barking orders. But, wow, what a disappointment when they don't perform as I'd hope. I won't hire if the reviews are bad (I had the chance to hire Ryan Rose but didn't because of the reviews). Some stars have been oh so good, though.

I have mixed experiences in hiring porn stars. Saw Rafael Alencar twice and had great experience. Made appointment with Derek Atlas in LV , spoke to him several times including three hours before appointment and he never showed. So I am hesitant. Would like to see Ryan Rose and had a chance but did not work out. Still may try?

Have had excellent times with pornstars-Parker London/Johnny Hazzard/Conner Habib/Andrew Justice/Chris Rockway/Jeremy Bilding/Adam Russo-all excellent hires-the only huge disappointment was Landon Conrad.

I think it would be difficult to characterize too generally either way on performance. I will say this -- typically, porn stars charge significantly more. And I'm not sure you get anything any better necessarily.

 

My budget stays the same regardless; therefore, I have limited experiences with porn stars.

A good/excellent/outstanding escort is able to make clients who are young, old, tall, short, skinny, fat and of any race or ethnic background feel as if they are the most important and sexy person in the escort’s life during their time together.

 

During my years of hiring escorts I have learned that the bottom line is really quite simple. I have been with professional escorts who were outstanding escorts and one who were mediocre. I have been with amateur escorts who were outstanding and one who were mediocre. I have been with porn actors who were outstanding escorts and one who were mediocre. Every time I hire a new guy I’m taking a chance and that’s part of the excitement.

I could not agree more with your succinct description of escorts, Epigonos. They run the gamut, every new one is an exciting adventure, some are duds but some are revelatory. Reviews are helpful but never guarantee that you and the escort will "click." I have met guys who disappointed me on first appearance but who had me totally enthralled when the sex and interpersonal interaction began. Likewise, I have met men who, on meeting, overwhelmed me with their beauty but just did not deliver either intellectually or in the bedroom! Professional or Amateur really has no bearing. Every professional escort has had their very first client at some point, making them all amateurs to start!

That story gets even more interesting...
