"Escort Wanted for Travel" Board?

What would be wrong with Hooboy adding another Board to their menu entitlled; "Escort Wanted for Travel"? I am sure there are legitimate opinions pro and con and I am interested in hearing them.

 

It seems time consuming for me to find an escort when I am seeking an escort for a travel companion. There are so many details to work out - the schedule for availability, the rates, the expectations etc. You know what I am talking about. The correspondences also become time consuming for the escorts as well.

 

It seems it would be beneficial to turn to the "Message Center" and post a "Want Add" of sorts, without being too explicit. Something similiar to what you escorts do on the "Escort Travels" board. Perhaps the title of this board could be "Client Travels" so it doesn't sound too much like a "Personal Adds" or "Classifieds" board. Interested escorts could then respond, or other visitors to the site could respond with an escort that might be recommended in general or specifically for that destination.

 

For example - let's say i am going to Brazil in January. I could post on the "Escort Wanted for Travel" board or "Client Travel" board something like this: "Will be traveling to Brazil January 15 - 22, 2004. 35 YO prefers bottom traveling companion in 20's or 30's. For more iformation please send email. Include pics, web site and best rate."

 

Do you see where I am going with this? An escort who has never been to Brazil but always wanted to go there may respond with an awesome rate. Now I have either in my email box or as responses on the board several options of escorts who are available and interested. Escorts, you may not appreciate this aspect (but please don't be angry with me), but I may also have some competitive rates! There could also be responses on the board from people who have traveled to Brazil with a particular escort who may respond with a recommendation of an escort that I could then contact. Maybe I'm someone just reading the board, I have not posted, but I see the thread for Brazil...and I know I am going there in March...so I benefit from it also.

 

Like I said, I am sure there are pros and cons. I would be interested in some constructive responses. Actually, a recent thread discussing some inquiries of travel to Russia solicited some responses from escorts. That thread made me think about this. Enlighten me, please...politely!

I can't see why an escort would not want this posted. Many of them never get a chance to travel to Great Destinations such as Brazil, Thailand, Montreal, London and Paris.

 

This might give them that opportunity if they can be flexible in their rates in order to get a once in a lifetime trip.

 

I realize some of the top escorts may already get these opportunities and not reduce their rate but many others never get a chance.

Quite frankly, it puts the cart before the horse, in my opinion. In the traditional system, the pool of escorts who get offers from you will be those whom you have selected out as ones who you are attracted to, have wanted to meet, and/or would like to travel with. With this travel board idea, the pool of escorts who will get offers from you will be those who want to go your destination, and are willing to post on a board to reflect that desire.

 

I think you are more likely to find an escort who will fulfill your dreams of blissful travel in the first scenario than in the second. Note my use of the words "more likely" because it is possible to find a dud or a gem in either way.

 

The other point, and one which has been discussed here a lot, is that is generally wise to undertake a long travel date with an escort after you have met for a shorter date just to make sure the chemistry is right. Can you imagine how unhappy you would be for one week in a foreign place if you found that the two of you didn't get along? The travel board idea seems skewed toward helping you find new escorts that you have never met... again not sure if this is the best pool of candidates that you want to consider.

 

I guess my conclusion would be that I really don't see anything wrong with it, and it might supply additional info, but for me it certainly wouldn't replace the legwork I currently do for travel companions. I try to pick escorts who really attract me. I try to meet them for short term appointments. After I have a relationship with them and am sure I can be with them for extended periods, I make them an offer (usually not the advertised travel fee depending on the duration of the trip and the destination). This has worked very well for me, as the majority of my trips done in this way have been magical and memorable times for me and usually the escort too.

I have never done this, but it just seems logical to me that if an escort is available for travel and he posted that fact here, it would be beneficial to both of you. I am sure that many escorts have a regular job that would preclude their being available for travelling and having a place that let those who are available would make it easier for all concerned.

BTW... went back to boystown in Chicago and had some good times, but was disappointed in general with the quality of the strippers at the bars. I think it's a great idea and could save alot of time and effort in endless emails to escorts who are not interested in travel, etc. Put up the ad and only escorts WHO ARE INTERESTED would answer. They would put up their best offer, etc. Think of it as an escort's E-BAY.

It is very simple to add another forum to the message center. The purpose of a Board where clients are specifically looking for escorts as travel companions would at least save some search time. This way escorts who are interested can make the client aware .. but the client will still need to do his homework to decide if the escort is the right match.

 

Personally I don['t feel the demmand would be great enough to create a new forum. This can be handled by posting a request in the Deli forum and achieve the same results.

I think it's a mistake for either party to make a long-term commitment without getting to know eachother first. I have never made a long-term hire without doing a one or two-hour hire first. This benefits both parties. The escort will feel more comfortable knowing what he's in for when a long trip is involved. Also, the client will generally get a better rate after a sexual encounter, unless, of course, the client has objectionable hygeine habits or acts like a jerk.

I would first try to hire someone locally. Try to find someone you're attracted to but isn't necessarily a hot-shot porn star. After your short session, say "You know, I'm going to Brazil in a few months. I can't afford your usual travel rates, but I think it would be great if we could go together. Would you be interested in seeing if we could work something out?"

If you absolutely must hire someone you've never met before, I would look at states which are boring and/or uncomfortable in the season you're traveling in, such as North Dakota in the winter, Arizona in the summer, or Iowa any time. I think that an escort in North Dakota or Iowa would be very motivated to negotiate an affordable rate for a trip to Brazil in January!

An idea i've considered from day-one in this industry. I've talked with people about this project (even HB) and it always came down to the complex problem of pandering.

 

What HB is providing now is nothing more than a testiment to free-speech. Actually providing a way to 'bid' for an escort's time would not only put the creator(s) of this site in hot water, but totally blur the line between legal & illegal. It's a tough call and frankly, it's better to be safe than sorry.

 

Thoughts on other ideas: Having hundereds of escorts possibly contact you for a shot at travel sounds great in concept, but it's a whole different matter when they're clogging up your inbox day & night with desperate pleas to visit foreign waters. If and when it got to the point of escorts begging to be brought along, i think it would become a self-defeating idea. Added, it's sometimes easier for a guy to go online and just find something he visually enjoys, contact them for further encouragement and then make a decision from there.

 

Besides... it leaves out that whole 'American Idol-esque' feel of having to sort through hundereds of emails from hapless no-talents. Can you imagine an AI featuring escorts?

Escort Wanted for Travel Board

 

Instead of "Escort Wanted for Travel Board" why not just plain "Client Travels". You list your dates and City just as the Escorts do now. Escorts could contact you not just about Traveling with you but maybe inquire about shorter meetings.

 

I have very much enjoyed seeing a different Escort each day when I have traveled to several cities this year. I sometimes hire one Escort for a full day or overnight but also see 2-3 other guys for 2 hour periods on the other days I am there.

Actually, going thru the Reviews for a given city and narrowing down the list to a few Escorts that seem compatible with me and my likes has worked very well for me. When I travel out-of-town, if I hire an escort, I usually hire someone locally reviewed well on this site. On three occasions, I have traveled and contacted an escort from a different location to meet me at my destination. In each case, it was only for a few days. In each case, the reason I selected the escort was because at the time of my travels, they were recently reviewed on this site and I felt like I "discovered" something I wanted badly to try. Had they not shown up on the "Newest Review" page, I would have never thought of inviting them to meet me at my destination! In each case, the experience was very positive, albeit, each escort was well respected on this site.

 

I do agree with comments in response to this post, that under most circumstances, you are taking a HUGE risk traveling with someone you have never established compatibility with...as is the escort. One of the infrequent complains on this site has been by clients who have been contacted by escorts, either because they think one poster is another reviewer or because a client has not contacted (much less hired) an escort in sometime. Personally, I would be highly reluctant to initiate contact unless the clients made very clear and specific requests.

Unfortunately, if you do not mind the comment, I think you will need to find yourself doing more work than you may appear to want to do. Some clients go through escort listing sites like Rent Boy and American Male and pick escorts they might like, contact them, find out if they travel and where they might be interested in traveling to, and then negotiate the particulars. In addition, the client consensus on this site, as you have observed from a few responses to this thread, is that one should not engage in a long session (overnight) or trip with an escort the client has never met before. If you are going to engage in this practice, I do not see how you could fail to engage in a fair amount of e-mail (or other) communication in order to simply plan and organize the appointment.

Well, of course the travel rate "varies." When escorts place a "travel rate" on their website, it's for a "worst case scenario." An escort can certainly imagine being hired by a smelly 300-pounder to Tulsa OK in the summer or Bismark SD in the winter. On the other hand, if an escort meets you and you two "click" (and you obviously need to get along if you're going to be spending time together), and you're going to a place he'd really like to go, he'll be happy to go as long as he's at least not losing money. Most escorts probably average less than one 1-hour hire a day (some days more, but with some days of only dud calls).

If you look at people at game shows, and they win an all-expenses paid trip to the Caribbean in February, or Paris in the summer, they jump up and down and are happy (and they have to pay the taxes on that, too). They don't say "Gee, are you going to pay me $1000 a day?" Let's get real.

I suggested a Client Travel section about 8 months ago after I had discovered how much fun it was to meet up with posters in the RW. I think the added advantage of having escorts in the designated city responding would benefit both parties. And if a client wants a travel companion, that's a great way to prescreen as well.
