I contacted this guy via email and we planned to see him at his place.

As I always do, I switched to text messages, and of course while on my way to Manhattan I asked him to confirm me his fee. He told me to look at his website, but I didn't have access to internet and I told him just to let me know, as I really didn't remember exactly.

He told me I was a time waster and that I could see the rates only at his website and (literally) that he is "better off without people like me"....

Ok...

it's possible he was being very discreet and didn't want to talk money in case of some sting he perceived.....BUT, if you just had a "massage" planned and hadn't talked at all about anything "more", it does seem he was being "bizarre"......it could also be argued that you should've checked the rate before leaving for Manhattan.....oh well, all kinds out there

This kind of posting serves no purpose here.

Why the OP was attracted to this guy and you weren't is what makes the world go round.

To each his own.

Different strokes for different folks.

There is no accounting for taste.

À chacun son goût.

De gustibus non est disputandum.

..trying to figure out what was it about this guy that made the OP book him in the first place. I find absolutely NOTHING attractive or endearing about him at all.

Bozo

Don't try too hard. It's totally useless, and pointless.

How many texts did you send him? I don't know your situation, but I do know that some escorts and masseurs have low tolerance for communication. Some men just want to work out the details and be done. It could be that he's had bad experiences with nonserious clients and flakes that keep him on the hook by asking follow-up questions. You may have just run afoul of an impatient masseur. If I'm right, I'm not saying it's a justification. The better guys in these professions have customer service skills and patience to deal with the flakes while keeping the serious clients interested.

I've met escorts and masseurs too that will not text rates. Usually they're polite about it. I had a pretty good masseur visiting my city who seemed more than willing to text back and forth about availability, location, technique, etc. The moment I asked about rates he replied by phone call.

Actually, it is your quote, Steven Draker that is useless and pointless. I am entitled to my opinion on a masseur. I posted it. You believe that my opinion about the masseur's attractiveness, or lack of it, serves no purpose. Do you think I am not entitled to my opinion? Frankly, I couldn't give a rats behind what you think. In fact, I find your post to be pointless and blather and says worlds about your personality.

If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

You questioned OP's personal taste and attractiveness in escorts.

"De gustibus non est disputandum."

Next time think before you post.

PS: If you have anything worthwhile and positive to contribute in the Forums, I'd love to hear it.

I said that I couldn't understand what the OP found attractive about him, AND I further stated that I found nothing attractive about him. End of story. Well, apparently not. Steven Draker, who I suppose nominated himself as head of the Daddys Thought Police, felt a compulsion to add his 2 cents and try to put me in my place. With over 5000 posts, Mr. Draker has plenty of free time and his hands with nothing better to do than play the role of the school marm chastising those of us who he believes violate Miss Manners charm school etiquette. Steven Draker, maybe others find your inappropriate comments to be clever. I don't.

Bozo, while Steven and I have butted heads a few times on other threads, I think his point here had more to do with the fact that your post had nothing to do with the central point of the OP's thread, which was to relay the story of a bizarre encounter and to seek validation that he didn't do anything wrong. That you find absolutely nothing interesting or attractive about the masseur that the OP was interested in had nothing to do with what he was talking about. I think that was the specific lack of purpose of your post that Steven was referring to, not that as a general matter you have no right to your opinions or that they serve no purpose.

Great point. Let's move on.

Why is it "bizarre" that someone engaged in activity that skirts the edge of legality would hesitate to put terms in writing and cancel on someone who insists on it? It's pretty standard par for the course. He's concerned you're a cop.
