Does anybody else remember singer John Davidson having his own song?

What I'm talking about is one of those "special material" songs they sing in their nightclub act, that was written for them.

 

I remember him singing a song about himself, which includes him saying that someone in the audience is probably saying to someone else "Betcha ten bucks he's gay."

I don't remember him having a song. But I remember his family Christmas specials. They weren't that great. But I used to 'love' him as a youngster-such a handsome guy!!

I don't remember his song, but I do remember a special on all the critters, bacteria, microbes, etc that could be found in a normal house, and there was one shot of him in the shower (talking about the mites that live on your skin). Google didn't come up with it, but it did find this that says it's him - probably early in his career...

I remember when The Mike Douglas Show was cancelled and John Davidson was given his own show to replace Mike. To me, John was the Jay Leno of his time-annoying.

I remember he got his start as a Sears underwear model. (And he said in an interview "they stuff things in there".)

 

I remember his Cosmo centerfold.

For a brief while he had a talk show called "The John Davidson Show." As a kid I'd watch it in the afternoons after school, but I'm not sure it lasted more than a year or so. I thought he was so handsome!

Agreed. He had a nice middle-of-the-road kind of style that suited his voice well.
