I saw that yesterday without sound. It's every bit as effective as a silent as it is with sound.

The look on that puppy's face when the guy is carrying him away is ... well ... dog owners, you know what I mean.

We dog owners do know what you mean, and yes the guy is hot as hell also...great commercial!!

And if you tell me the guy in this commercial isn't hot I'll say you need glasses :)

There are two guys. There's the ranch owner and the douchebag looking guy with the sunglasses and the hot girlfriend who buys the puppy.

The agency that made the ad made the guy extra douchebaggy so that we wouldn't sympathize with hi and his girlfriend. So he texts on his Blackberry while he's buying the dog and has the nerve to be annoyed when a bunch of horses block his path out of the ranch. I'm surprised they didn't give him a more expensive looking car to complete the image. Not sure why that made him give back the dog; I guess he's such a douchebag that he can't tolerate obstacles.

Great ad, though. I just heard the song a couple of days ago and loved it the first time.

Now we know who the handsome ranch owner actor is.

@DonJeanes

But wait...don't pet the puppies!?! :)

The production was a labor of love for those involved. But at times, it demanded plenty of willpower.

"There were all these puppies on the shoot, and we received special instructions on the call sheet that said: 'Don't pet the puppies!,'" actor Don Jeanes, who portrays the Clydesdale trainer in the commercial, said in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.

"I could hardly stand it," Jeanes said.
