Is using an escort considered a fetish? I have a friend that says it is a fetish. And a kinky one at that. I don't believe that he has ever called an escort, though he knows I have on frequent occasion. So, is using an escort considered a fetish? Kinky or otherwise?

Fetish, uummmm. When it begins to turn into this, do we call it a fetish or obsession? Same thing in this case??? In my definition, an obsession would be an act that interrupts your daily activities of living. Turns a persons life into chaos. A fetish is something a person simply feels the desire to satisfy that they want or need. Bringing them the end result of pleasure or relief of some sort. I really don't see the hiring of an escort as a fetish. However! The stuff that is done behind closed doors certainly could be.

I think it depends on the client, and why he hires an escort. If it's an obsession with control, the sense of power that comes with hiring, the number of hires and so forth so that the excitement is about the act of hiring and control itself and the escort himself is not really the object of the hiring it is a fetish, the escort becomes more of a prop. If on the other hand the hiring is based on loneliness, or because you know and care for the escort it isn't a fetish. The escort as a human being that you're connecting with is the object of the hiring and so it wouldn't be a fetish. No, in order to be considered a fetish, an object, person, etc. has to have some aspect of awe, power or magical control. While a person hiring an escort may feel in awe of him, or may feel he has power. even magical or mystical, I don't believe that feeling is comparable to more widely recognized feishes---whips, leather, used underwear, jocks, socks, et. al. in the case of sexual fantasies. In religious terms a fetish is usually an object associated with giving power, good or evil over others. Hard for me to think of hiring as a fetish, more like an obsession or an addiction but then I have a limited tolerance when it comes to using words like viral, iconic in the way they are presently being used.

In some cases, paying for time with a hot guy has been part of the thrill and, therefore, might be appropriately characterized as a fetish. In the same way, hiring a straight (or "straight") guy from time to time might be considered a fetish.

Sometimes hiring is the fetish and sometimes having sex with a straight guy is the fetish. Sometimes it's two birds with one stone.

 

For me, using money to get something I couldn't otherwise have sometimes adds an extra element or layer of fulfillment to the sexual experience. In the same way, having a sexual experience with a straight guy sometimes adds that same extra fulfillment. There's one straight guy I've hired a few times who is really dominant. He has been much more dominant with me than any other guy I've ever been with. Certainly, 2 or 3 don't apply to hiring escorts, unless it is the hiring of the escort, rather than the sex itself which is the cause for the sexual excitement. Similarly, I don't think that 1 applies either, unless, again, it's the hiring itself which is the "strong and unusual" need. A desire to have sex with a person one finds attractive is not unusual. It's normal.

I have learned over the years to conserve my money until I DO find those few who are both bright and exciting. Yeah occasionally my little 3rd eye overcomes by discernment and I stumble and fall for the not-so-bright and definitely not-exciting ones, but I have been fortunate in recent years to come to know 4 or 5 go-to guys who ARE the whole package for me.
