Yeah...I'm thinking it's probably not worth the effort. They would already be out there.

One thing about it. You could try the locked approach for the nudes, and if you rarely/never get requests for the password but you are getting hits to the site, then you know it's not really working well.

I really am interested in hearing what other clients think specifically about that and if they ever send password requests for private nude galleries. I bet I've looked at hundreds of sites and maybe sent five requests.

Well, I have to disagree somewhat. I have no problem asking for a password for nudes, especially full frontal ones and especially for erect cocks. There is something wonderful about pictures that suggest what is there, but don't reveal everything. A hot man like you will get a lot of attention in a speedo, underwear or a swim suit, where it is obvious that you are excited and hard or semi hard. There is a lot to providing some mystery to what you have to offer, and as with the other suggestions about pictures that suggest various interests (beyond the sexual ones) are more likely to result in longer bookings, overnights, weekends, travel etc. IMHO opinion, of course and others may feel very differently. If I can see everything right away, I find I am less interested than if I have to "dig a little" or engage the person in a request or conversation. That is true, whether I am looking for a massage, a companion, or just a fun evening. That is similar to going to a bar, coffee shop, shopping mall or some other place where I know that there may be someone there that I may be interested in meeting. I don't see the entire package, but just enough to entice me to pursue it further. So, good luck and you may want to try different things for different situations, especially if you are putting something up in a city where you are planning or want to go to in your travels.

Excellent point DD. My preference would be to do what you describe. I may try it just to see what happens. I can always remove the lock at some point if it's not working. Thanks!!

Ace,

I love an escort that has their own site. It allows you to learn and see more about the man. I don't even mind if they market their non-escort/massage aspects, such as movies. But, please don't try to get me to create a membership, especially paid. That's a blackball for me. If the site upkeep can't be a cost of doing business, then I suggest don't start it.

Also, don't forget about us iPad/mobile device users when building a website. For example SimplyAdam (later thread) took so long to load, I quit!

Well.....

Whatever Ace decides, I can guarantee you, it will work.... because anytime a client hires him, they are going to get WAY more than any ad or website can even begin to describe. And then some.

And then, some more....

They say a picture is worth a thousand words..... but in his case, not so much. Because, for one thing, I have yet to see a picture that even remotely captures how truly perfect he is physically. Seriously.

And when he talks, when he turns on that slow, smooth, southern boy Prince of Tides charm, it all comes together and no still camera stands a chance.....

But a dvd one??? ... well.... that's a different duck and let me tell you, boys, he can put on quite a fuck...

To quote an old ad line from Coke (or in this case, Cock.... a big one).... There ain't nothing like the real thing, baby.

Nothing .......... like the real thing.

Membership websites are a big pet peeve of mine. If the website is actually set up to give almost no information about the person but is instead just a money making proposition in and of itself, I assume the guy is actually wanting to make money of his pornography, not providing a personal service, and I just move on.

And no pay site mess for me, promise. I hate those, too...plus, I'm not a big-time porn name...lol.

As usual I have come late to this party... So at the risk of repeating what others have said I'll give my initial thoughts.

A website is a definite plus and shows that a guy cares... No make that CARES! Keep it simple, provide a nice biography with background information, and keep the info and photos up to date... and that includes any reference to age. It is amazing how many escort sites seem to advertise ages that get stuck at a given number... usually it's 29 or 39 for some "strange" reason! That and the use of outdated pics is what irritates clients the most. Of course I am a firm believer that like fine wine the best escorts improve with age...and for some reason I think Ace fits into that category. I just can't understand why many escorts think that having "seasoning" and admitting to having "experience" is a detriment when in actuality it is an enhancement.

In any event, Ace comes across as being a smart guy and I am sure that he will get things right.

So, I finally got it done. It's pretty basic, but I think it does the job for now. Please see what you think and let me know your critique. I still need to add some photo galleries, but I'd love to have some feedback about how you think it handles. Thanks!!

It looks great, Ace. Kudos to you for taking the time to survey clients on this; I'll bet the results will really help you bring in clients. Just so you know, I've only taken a perfunctory surf through it, and I'm a non-client.

Front page: The white copy overlaps with the yellow headline. This is on Firefox in iOS.

I love the southern hospitality branding, but I'm wondering if you can move some of it to the About page? It's hard to get anyone to read a lot of text when they've just landed on a site and are looking around. Too much text on the front page may scare some people off. It's analogous to Paco Underhill's observation that people rarely focus on items located right at the entrance to a store, where people are finding their bearings.

About page: I would put that 8.5 x 5 cut in big, bold type to make sure it's the first--or one of the first--things people see on that page. As it is, it's in small font and split into two lines, so a client's eye might scan past it.

Gallery and testimonials: I absolutely love the way you broke up the photos and added the brief fantasies. They will work better than my long ones.

Hi Ace,

Like FreshFluff, I noticed the white copy overlapping the yellow headline. It occurs in Firefox and Safari on iOS, but not on Firefox in Windows 7. In Windows 7 the headline is one one line, while in iOS it is on two, hence the running together of the copy and headline. I'll send you a screen shot so you can see what we are talking about. Also, the "Testimonials" page has a couple of items. First, the center button is probably supposed to be a link to "Cruising For Escorts." The caption reads "Curising..." The button that links to "Men4 Rent Now" has a shadow while the others are plain, and the three buttons are three different sizes. You might want to make them consistent from a size, font size, and shadowing standpoint. Last suggestion: you might want to consider a landing page that requires the visitor to check a box certifying they are over eighteen years of age and give them an "escape" button. Overall, I think the site is nice. Very simple but informative. Love the pics.

Other than that, I like the design of the site. Very simple but informative.

The website looks great!

It looks very professional. Websites that are very static and are basically just a few photos with a phone number make me less inclined to hire. They feel very perfunctory, and I feel like those escorts are better off just sticking with ads. But websites that are very dynamic like yours make me more inclined to hire because the escort comes across as more client-centric.

I also like when escorts that travel have a travel schedule page so I have a quick way to see if he'll be in my area anytime soon (though, sadly, it doesn't look like you will be).

I just viewed it via Safari on my iPhone. A bit confusing as such, but in general it is excellent as it gives the 'Essence of Ace' and then some!!! It makes one feel as though they know you... Actually it makes one feel that they REALLY know you... Plus, the Southern charm approach is a nice touch... and is quite inviting. Damn you have been down quite a path... and have many diverse and positive attributes that would make one want to hook up with you... and on a variety of levels. That's important... as the brain is actually the largest sexual organ... and well... No doubt now about yours!!!

Incidentally I did notice one minor misspelling... but it was misspelled in a Southern charm sort of way... and made me smile... (And regarding misspellings.. did this on my phone... so any here are due to an all thumbs sort of way!)

Bottom line: well done!

Thanks for the help, y'all. I'll keep working on the little fixes. I worked on the overlap problem. It wasn't showing on my devices, but hopefully I fixed it for others. It's was a good exercise! If you think of anything else, definitely let me know. :)

I think the site looks great. I reviewed it rather quickly rather than attempting to proofread it, but one typo jumped out at me: the word hygiene is misspelled.

I like the design and navigation. (I hate when websites make it difficult to return to a previous page, and yours is excellent in this regard since the menu is constant.) My only critique -- and this is an off the cuff reaction which is certainly up for debate -- is that perhaps you offered too many photos. I know it sounds weird from a client perspective since it seems like the more photos there are, the more excited the client will become. I guess I just think that offering so many at the site's launch is potentially problematic in a couple of ways:

1. Some potential clients might just enjoy the photos so much that they end up not contacting you (if you know what I mean ;) .)

2. Unless you have thousands of photos to rotate, your photo section will relatively quickly become stale and it will be difficult to keep updating such a large portfolio. Not that an escort needs to change photos every month, but you could remove perhaps 1/3 of the photos posted there now and then periodically update a gallery or two by exchanging some of the photos. This would not only keep things fresher but also is a way to keep "buzz" going. (I'm sure you've seen threads here before where people gush over new photos of their favorite guys.) Yes, it's possible to overdo the updating such that it seems desperate for attention, but I get the hunch that you would know the difference between obnoxious hyping of yourself and simply letting people know of available updates.

I just had a quick browse and really liked the clean look of it and easy navigation.

Like someone else, I did notice 'hygine' on one page ("About me").

And I did find it puzzling that your rates are listed for 2 different locales...but they're the same?

But those are minor quibbles. I think it's a VERY impressive premiere!

UPDATE: I do see several more typos on the 'About me' page - probably needs a real proofreading!

Great job! An excellent website indeed. The text clearly shows you to be an educated, confident (but not cocky) and well-rounded man. The photos are terrific and subtly convey someone who has a take-charge sexual style in a friendly, very masculine way.

I concur with pretty much all the things mentioned above by other posters. Just keep an eye out for initial readability on the home page for the type. Just a few more typos -- in About Me, under background: graduaited and moe. In next column, in formed has a space.

I didn't think about it at the time, but maninsoma has a point -- as great as they are, you might want to take some of your pictures out and rotate them back in late this fall/early winter. You could have half as many as you have now and still have plenty to look at.

thanks guys! Yeah, I've had similar responses about the photos and I DEFINITELY need a proof-reader...LOL. Most of this was done late at night and my fingers have a mind of their own sometime. I'll keep making small tweaks to it, for sure, but thanks so much for the feedback. Really means a lot. If you think of anything else, please let me know.

Very classy as expected! I wander whether there is some way to protect all those pictures. It would appear that they can easily be copied and will no doubt show up all over the internet (because they're so delectable!). Misspellings have been noted. I have to say that reading the text and looking at ALL the pictures brought back some very vivid memories!:D Thank you!

... my fingers have a mind of their own ... making small tweaks ...

They certainly do, but they really know what they're doing and work well:p:o Oh, you were talking about typing - sorry, my bad.;)

My my my....Just peeked in on your website Mr. Ace......Very well done. Most impressive indeed, and it was slick (in a good way). Polished and professional, but more than anything, it was seductive. I found myself captivated by photos. Sorry, I am a little shallow, and went directly to the gallery, but I will keep an eye out for your travel schedule. In the mean time I will remain jealous of all those that have been blessed by having an encounter with you.

This brings up an important point. Many married clients will check out your site on their iPhones/Samsungs or iPads. So it's definitely important that the site be easy to navigate from there, so you may want to test it on your own phone and see.

But like everyone has said, it's an excellent site--and it's even more impressive that you designed and built it so quickly. You're a guy who knows how to get things done!

Thanks again, y'all.

I've got most of the typos corrected. Some have said privately that it's too much to read, so I'm not sure about scaling it back to more bullet points. I wanted it give guys a feel for the real me, so I'm not sure about that.

Oliver, I'm thinking there's no real way to lock this down. There's enough nekkid photography of me out there already, anyway, so that cat's out of the bag, so to speak...lol.

Appreciate the feedback! Trying to get the site added to my ads and it's in my signature here now. If you think of anything else, I'd appreciate the input.
