Just about everyone around the table was appalled but at least one suggested that is there any reason someone evil can't be "hot?" It got into a whole discussion of not whether or not they were hot but whether it was appropriate to say such a thing.

I think the older many of us get the easier it is for us to be attracted to young men who must just be 1) thin or in reasonably good shape, 2) good skin, 3) young, 4) young (no I didn't stutter) and 5) have decent to good skin/complexions. There isn't a single one of the people involved in that tragedy that I would call "smoldering" -- not by a long shot -- they all look rather deranged and crazy.

True. With people I actually see & interact with (as opposed to just a picture), no matter how hot, if I find that they're a jerk, the attraction is gone. Couldn't even sustain a jerk-off fantasy about them. But, at least to me, that only applies to people I've met.

It was a fascinating book, I'd never realized that it took them so long (weeks?) to track down Booth, or that there had been a bigger conspiracy to kill several government officials as well as Lincoln. Also never realized that it took place so early into Lincoln's second term. Shows how much I paid attention in History.

There's only been one large conspiracy to kill a US president and that's Lincoln's despite all the nonsense paid to the JFK assassination "conspiracy" that never was. I think he is physically attractive. To me that's completely different from his evil intentions. If he ends up with life in prison he won't need to worry about other inmates.
