I got the title for this thread from one of the comments on thesmokinggun.com webpage...

The funny thing is the guy is SO ugly. Who's paying for that?

Btw, Wal-Mart is totally awesome. Whenever I'm somewhere where there is one I always go ... there really is NOTHING you can't find there ....

I've never seen any hotties at the Target's {TAR J's} where I've shopped. You're fortunate if your posting is

non facetious!!!!!!

No no no...very serious. Two of the guards work out at my gym. They are "Big Blond Buff Boys"..OK, probably a little homophobic, but still nice to peek at through my sunglasses, and several of the "associates" are just cutie pies. Some of them recognize me now and always smile and say hi. Now you are correct, not all TAR J's have cute employees. The one in LA was dreadful.

Actually, it depends.

A WalMart SuperStore, sure. You can find anything there. It's truly one stop shopping.

The WalMart near me, though, is an older store that predates the SuperStores. There's no fresh produce or meat section and no deli, for example, and the store overall is small, cramped, and not particularly well stocked. It isn't in my usual rotation, but when I do go there I always end up stopping elsewhere to pick up the stuff I couldn't find while there.

I've been in WalMart SuperStores before and they really are a mecca of retail. But not every store in the chain lives up to that standard.

And as is reported by the media, WalMart is having a terrible time keeping their shelves stocked. Customer satisfaction is on the downward trend as complaints of out-of-stocks skyrocketed. They tried to expand and at the same time cut the number of employees. When it became clear that their strategy did not work, reversing that decision is taking its toll.

Costco on the other hand has become a poster child on how to treat employees and expand at the same time. Creating a working environment that is a win win for management and employees as well.

I never meant an article about a Craig's List Escort providing his services inside a Walmart to turn into a discussion about the quality of the various big box retailers. LOL!

I actually thought this article dove-tailed with the discussion of the waiter @ Chili's and the subsequent discussion if whether an employee should be fired for engaging in non-business conduct with a patron.

Oh, yeah, I forgot, I'm the spinning nutbag.

Right, sorry about that....lol...but I guess in the end, you can take the man out of real estate, but you can never take real estate out of the man.

The comments posted on that blog under the Wal-Mart story are entertaining as well. I especially liked the one about the Wal-Mart execs putting their heads together to figure out whether they can import cheaper gay escorts from China!

"Ugly" is in the eye of the beholder.
EXACTLY! Thanks Steven for the reminder...

In this type of back-page journalism they routinely select the most unattractive picture to say this is bad bad bad.
I have to agree with you on your back-page journalism, too.

And I'd like to point out that in a town called Queensbury, surely there are enough queens to keep him busy even without the Walmart men's room venue... LOL!

This article is funny yet equally degrading as well. It puts gay men in a bad light and prostitution in a bad light. But moreso gay men. As in if you're gay, you're going to be caught sucking someone off at work in the bathroom.
Gay men and prostitution in a bad light?

Because you're sucking someone off?

Or Sucking someone off at work?

Or Sucking someone off in a bathroom?

Just where is prostitution put in a bad light?

<snickering>

The post was somewhat facetious. However, many of the guys at the two Target stores I regularly shop are hot. The Wal-Mart near my office, on the other hand, is a dive and the employees are worse. On the other hand, the two Wal-Mart Supercenters near my brother's place are actually quite nice. Not crazy about the merchandise, but you can find almost anything there 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The guys there are not quite as hot as the guys at the local Target, but still somewhat do-able.

Let's not forget Home Depot. The Home Depot guys are hot. Once, I was in a Home Depot store in Michigan, during mid-week. Not too many customers. I spotted a male employee in one of the aisles. The face, not much to look at, but his chest and biceps looked promising. He looked at me me and said 'can I help you, Sir?'. I said: 'Yes, show me the men's room'. Instead of giving directions, he walked me over to the men's room, opened the door, got in, took his jeans down and bent over. Now, that's customer service.

On the other spectrum of retail experiences, there was an interesting and very detailed description of a sex scene with a sales person of the 'very chic' Barney's department store, Madison Ave, New York, on a blog called 'confessions of a bareback top'. The story became quite the sensation among the 20 year-something fashionistas here in the city. Sadly, Barney's was able to track down who the employee was and fired him. It was never explained whether he was fired for having sex with a customer in the store's men's room, or whether he was fired for simply having unprotected sex in the store's men's room. Or simply because Barney's name was all over the blogs in connection with bareback sex scenes involving employees in the restrooms. Imagine that, in the restrooms.

You're absolutely right. I guess I haven't seen one of the "old model" stores in a long time. I thought they had all been replaced but I guess they're doing that slowly (or not at all). The Super Stores are amazing. Many of them have banks, an optometrist, a cell phone store, a barber, and a Subway!

Of course, I also go there so I can feel thin. I have never seen so many OBESE people at a store!

Gentlemen,

Beware of this Hot-ASS Wal-Mart Streaker too. Who knew you could find male escort services and bubble-butt streakers while strolling the aisles of the discount giant?

Hmmm, maybe we do need a WEHO Wal-Mart after all!:)

lol...no self respecting West Hollywood queen would ever be caught dead in a Wal-Mart. Certainly not in broad daylight, and certainly not without a disguise.

I know, I know. You are right about that...but imagine how popular it could be if it became the first All-Nude, Gay Weho Wal-Mart..and all the front-end cashiers were porn studs and strippers from Micky's. Yes, it's a stretch, but what if?:p
